Emery/Monchi couldn't be bothered enough to keep him permanently at Villa. It's a loan with obligation at Atalanta iirc

He's supposed to be quite good. Best Celtic midfielder since Petrov I'm reading. Scottish players have had good success in Serie A lately so it'd be a good step-up (I know he's not from there but SPL). Better than being at some relegation/midtable in the EPL I suppose. @Scottish may seen him play more
My countryman Petrov was really good indeed.

They will play 442 or what? How do they fit him and Hojlund? Fernandes in a double pivot??
ETH will play his usual 4231/433 formation like he did with Ajax. Bruno will play behind zirkzee, zirkzee will be his new tadic and Hojland will be his new Huntelaar. He's doing everything to go back to how things were at Ajax and for that he's after de ligt and wouldn't suprise me if they try for de Jong again lol

Probably will try and sign Daley Blind back at the club given how he's turning it into some Dutch/Ajax reunion club

Why does Bayern invest so much money in players around 30yo with no resale value?
It's a bit of a market inefficiency and a product of the FM generation. 30 year old plus veterans have a ton of value and in many ways are better and more stable than younger guys with resale value.

Bayern is looking to win domestic and continental trophies, not worrying about resale value. Veterans help you win. Look at Madrid with Modric, Kroos, Alaba, Nacho, Carvajal.

But Real is getting rid of them and I doubt they'd replace those players with older guys.

They didn't win anything but Arsenal did amazing this season. And they are like, what, the youngest squad? Most goals scored and least conceded iirc
