I think Napoli is having a good mercato so far. If they manage to keep Kvara or Osimhen, that team will be dangerous. Spina is a player perfect for 3 at the back. Goodmorning is also the ideal player for them in the middle of the back 3.

Spinazzola is a fantastic player. But no signing involving him can ever be good at this time because he is athletic cripple. He hasn't been able to play regularly since 2021 Euro injury.

And the little time he plays, it's heavily affected by the recovery time for said injury.

Yeah he's definitely an injury prone player after his achilles injury but still a top LWB in the league. Not many FBs have his dribbling ability and pace (maybe he lost some of it). I think he's actually a good defender too.

Yeah but availability is the best part of a player. Just check his played minutes past 3 seasons. Is crazy how unavailable he has been. And as said the on and off nature of his health status effects his performances too.

There is a reason Napoli low balled him with 1.8m salary. He needs them more then they need him, despite his clear quality when he is healthy.

I'd rather a 7/10 player who is available most of the time than this guy. Otherwise you're playing half of your season with his backup. And when he does play he has to do a lot of it with the handbrake on. He's been injury prone since he was 24 and that's not going to improve at 31 years old.

If Napoli can get 2000 mins out of him this season they must have Apollo himself as head physio.

Time will tell, although the track record isn't favorable. Still hold that Napoli is a dangerous prospect with Conte as their coach.

Unless they have an fallout midway through the season(which is also very likely) or suddenly struggle with a series of injuries, otherwise they sure are going to put up a challenge for the title under Conte, even more so if they manage to retain some of their key players like Kvara, Osimhen, Lobotka, Anguissa(although i think at least one of them will be sold) and add a few more pieces like Buongiorno and Spinazzola on top of it.

Koopmeiners replacement?
They were saying the same when they signed Zaniolo, this guy might be too, either way i think Koopmeiners is on his way out regardless if it will be to us or somewhere else.

Emery/Monchi couldn't be bothered enough to keep him permanently at Villa. It's a loan with obligation at Atalanta iirc

Matt O’Riley scored 19 goals last season.
He's supposed to be quite good. Best Celtic midfielder since Petrov I'm reading. Scottish players have had good success in Serie A lately so it'd be a good step-up (I know he's not from there but SPL). Better than being at some relegation/midtable in the EPL I suppose. @Scottish may seen him play more
