You can't poach stars from Bayern. This has been proven for nearly 15 years now. Ribery, Lewandowski, Müller, Robben etc.

We lost Alaba on a free and sold Kroos. But those are not cases of poaching, it's simply because Bayern didn't want to give them what they asked.

History shows if Bayern wants a player to stay, then he's staying. Only way for them to leave is to let their contract run down like Alaba did.

Bayern is too strong financially for the oil clubs to be able to poach from us.

I hope so. We have to get used to the oil clubs as well, but i dont think they will be able to poach from us.

They done their deals early with Upamecano, and getting the best available coach in Nagelsmann. I thought they would continue to raid Leipzig and sign Sabitzer for cheap at 20-25m, heard a rumour not long ago.

Trying to extend with Kimmich and Goretzka. I don't think we'll do much more on the transfermarket this window, maybe Sabitzer but that's it.

Only player I remember we lost in that sense was Michael Ballack.

I disagree. How is it poaching if the club thinks a player isn't worth as much as he's asking for? They will pay up if they think the player deserves it. Kroos was simply deemed to be expendable back then, so they let him go. They could have paid up, but decided not to. That isn't poaching.

With Upamecano coming in, Bayern has plenty of good CB's as well and Davies/Hernandez for the LB role. Same scenario as with Kroos.

And Upamecano could easily be better than Alaba at CB sooner rather than later. Those asked wages for the latter were too high IMO.

I disagree. How is it poaching if the club thinks a player isn't worth as much as he's asking for? They will pay up if they think the player deserves it. Kroos was simply deemed to be expendable back then, so they let him go. They could have paid up, but decided not to. That isn't poaching.

Dear Bayerndevil, exactly my point. Ofcourse a club like Bayern could afford to pay big wages for players they deem worthy, but even for a club like Bayern, there are budget constraints. The situation is much different now compared to previous years.

EPL teams and oil teams are going crazy on the market. There was a time where players used to go play for oil clubs just for money, but now they have become THE destinations and have pretty much replaced the cream of the crop.

So Bayern will inevitably be left with a situation where they are required to pay market level wages for their stars to compete with the rich teams.

I'm not saying they're doomed but Bayern will have to stretch their wallet in order to stay at the top.

It has already started with some of their players starting to demand big wages.

Kimmich will recieve double his wages for extending, think he will earn around 20 mio a year with the new contract. Goretzka will probably get a big pay rise as well.

Thing is we can give our stars what they want, we are just cautios when it comes to who we think deserves it.

Losing 2 starters on a free, and they’re yet to agree a renewal with Kessie. If that doesn’t happen he’ll leave for free too. Let’s see if they can get anybody to replace Hakan first.
