to Crippled Reus, metabol Gotze, Batshitcrazy, Yarmolenko and Maxi Phillip
Has any team been so willing to sell their top players and replace them with very mediocre ones?

They got 100M for Dembele, 60M for Aubamayang and 40M for Mikitherian recently. That's 200M gained.. Their problem isn't that financial, they just lack ambition and are failing to make CL this coming season.
Just makes you think how good our club is being run after selling our top players year after year..

U r talking absolte BS..it has nothing to do with willing to sell..typical modern dumb statement..its quiet the opposite..when Dortmund were top, they gave countless of snubs to anybody. Real wanted to have half the team after the CL final against Bayern, but they got nobody..same for United & Co..their reluctance to sell at any time brought them into the position of contracts running out..they refused to sell Lewandowski and let him leave for free instead.
That was their big mistake in general being to stubborn to sell, but after Lewa, the plan was not to lose a player on a Bosman anymore. They refused to sell Hummels in 2015 to United, cos of the terrible season they had..result, one year contract, so powerless when Bayern came along. Mkhi was total shit and then had a great year, but contract just one year..Gündogan was always injured and just extended one year..Kagawa one year, Sahin and Götze had clauses and so on.
Dembele was the first player they sold who had longer conttract, but this case was always special (Barca, Bayern & Co were already interested, but stacked). Dont wanna go into detail, but it was a cocktail of reasons and Dembele did everything possible to force a move..and the real price is close to 150m€..150 fecking millions.
Now Aubameyang, but its a good time to get rid of. I totally agree they have devolopped really bad, but not cos they r willing to sell..thats just stupid and makes u look like the typical clueless poster.
