That is so fucked up. Difference between Di Maria and Vidal in age is 1 year.
One guy is the best box to box midfielder in the world and the other one just came off a failed season.

Difference? 26m.
To be fair Di Maria was one of the world's best players the season before the last one, and attacking players always go for more than more defensive minded ones.

We should've gotten ~5 million more for Vidal, and perhaps Di Maria went for a bit too much considering the year he just had, but it's not completely outragious.

True about attacking players always being more expensive than defensive ones. Funny though cause there are hardly any great defensive players around anymore.

not sure there is that much of a diff these days.

Vidal went for a fair market value, all things considered. It's you guys that have had unrealistic expectations of said value, hence while some of you seem unsettled or even shocked.
Juve either had to keep him or sell him for whatever they did. In the end of the day, it was the right move for both sides - sometimes you just know it's the right time to move on.

What ?
He was a B2B midfielder under Carlo.

Real sold him for an extremely outrageous sum considering sum.

€75m + add-ons.It's totally ridiculous.

He's going now for the rumored sum cos United want to avoid a loss on their balance sheet.

World's best players is totally overstating it.

He wasnt a b2b midfielder, he played behind the striker. He just didn't play the role in the traditional sense, instead he was always covering the left hand side when Ronaldo drifts inside the box to act as a second striker, effectively making it a 4-4-2 at times.

And yes in his last 2 seasons at Real, especially his last season i totally agree with Ocelot, he was one of the best players in the world.

That adjustment was made in the 2nd half of the season.
Basically he had half an extraordinary season.

No way u can justify that price tag.At best he was worth €60m which was what PSG were willing to pay initially.

Real baited the EPL clubs brilliantly. We have to admit they sell really well nowadays.

Those add-ons were also easily achievable bonuses as well which would take his price to €90m.Absurd.

Di Maria was a CM for Madrid in his last few months there.
You could see how deep he was playing. He was the one carrying the ball out of defense when hitting teams on the break and he became Damn good at it.

yeah it was news here yesterday.

haha this is really fucked up. I don't think Roma can splash the cash for him, no way. This is bollocks.

Anyway if this could happen would love to see Fluminense rape Roma for Gerson lol.
