Yes, but that is just the point, persons with and without religion are just that, PEOPLE, they are neither better for or worse off because of religion.

And you can only say this if you have lived under both worlds. I've been held under a semi-religious tone before and it was a joke and I hated it.

I just think that basically you have good people and bad people, within religious circles and outside them. Some people are good and some are bad and that's just the way life is. Reasons for violence? Some people don't need a reason for violence. It just happens. It's like chewing on a burger or excrementing for some people, it comes natural, and it will never go away.

For naturally violent people, religion can be a way for them to channel that rage. It can also, for other people, and this is how it is for most people, prevent these people from doing wrong. All I know is that Gamla Vet, and that we should put our faith in her.

The key word here is socialist... so you cannot really state their ethnic cleansing attemps were because of their Christian beliefs. Rather, those Serbs were people who disagreed with the break up of their socialist state and the presence of the Muslim Bosnians and mostly Catholic Croats. They wanted everybody to be a Serb, not a Christian per se.

This way of thinking is very much related to the tolerance discussion I brought up. And in actuality, their thinking is somewhat like yours, hence the parallels I referred to earlier.

There is no violence just for the sake of it...

It CERTAINLY has a reason, and that's one of the problems of the western media: They broadcast the news of an explosion somewhere, but they don't look for its reasons often. After a while, some people in the West start to think that people in other parts of the world are not natural people just like them, and they tend to see some of them as Draculas who want nothing but violence without any reason...

Jews, if you mean the holocaust, so you are talking about another well exaggerated myth. I know that the Nazi holocaust existed but to say that there were 5 millions Jews killed in it, this is the myth. What is more, this event was unique in the ancient and modern history, I mean for a person to loathe a specific group of people and trying to excute them all, it was weird. Hitler isn't a clear example to talk about especially here. Furthermore, this isn't the question really? Did you even ask yourself before about the real causes behind such loath? Did you read Hitler's own diary? If you read, I think that you can answer me, however, I'm against any sort of racial or ethnic discrimination.

The point here is that they are different explanations and how to apply them. And if there was some past clashes, so these had to be some closed minded greedy leaders (Sorry for talking generally).

Ironically, you are looking at a religion, whatever this religion is, as being a strict law that you can't even be discussed. To look at a certain point in any religion thinking that this is the point on which this religion was built and to start hating it just for misunderstandings, which haven't any roots, is just ridiculous.

9 million people died, 6 million Jews, and the reast were Eastern Europeans, Blacks, Gypsies, and persons who otherwise did not follow the Nazi view.
