I live this place happy to see a young talented boy who profess his love to this club and say that his dream became true by finally playing with the first the team and I return and we are sending him to get freaking Scamadouche!!

WTF!!!!!

Imo people shouldn't confuse the two. Nothing wrong with getting Scamacca, young backup player, kind of profile we are aiming for, but his value should be within reason. And should defenitely not feel forced to give away a decent talent just to get a backup striker.

Don't hold it against him because Paratici doesn't seem to know how to negotiate with whats supposed to be one of our feeder clubs lol. But actually getting Scamacca might turn out to be a decent investment for sure. Morata can be more readily rotated. So we don't feel forced to play Kulu and Chiesa as striker pair like last night.

you'll be the first to say the contrary if he stays after all, won't you
I have absolutely no problems if Fagioli stays but going by Pirlo's words it's difficult to place how he'd fit over the next couple of years if it seems like we're going to buy more established midfielders.

But right now I would really like a deputy for Morata, I personally don't like the idea of kulu and chiesa playing in this sort of role.

come on, pirlo himself proved yesterday that we can use this guy. he had a very good match, and this was his senior debut ffs. he needs to gain experience, with a dry loan or a buyback clause, i'd let him go. but selling him would be a mistake

a backup striker is needed, that's not even questioned here. i think scamacca is a good option too; some find him a jabroni already, i think he can be useful. but he's never a 22m striker, especially not post-covid, and you shouldn't give away a talented mid like fagioli for him either, when he can become everything we've been missing since marchisio: homegrown, loyal, can play in midfield, cheap.

22m for a striker who has proven nothing in his career at senior level and giving away our best prospect is madness.

It's the sort of transfer desperate epl sides make like when Bournemouth signed Solanke and Sheffield Brewster from Liverpool for over 20m based on being good at youth level. There are countless players who were good at youth level and haven't made it eg Alberto Cerri.

For his role in the squad I'd rather a cheap experienced backup. Not much point throwing big money on a young striker who isn't going to develop sitting on the bench. Use the money on improving the midfield, especially given the current climate.

Given how Pirlo was talking up Fagioli yesterday I'd be surprised if we didn't have a buy back on him though.

Top Bernardeschi's wishes for next club: Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester City, PSG
Bernardeschi realistic destination: Crotone
Reality: maybe a stupid EPL club or someone like Atlético comes in for him.

In Italy there are few teams who can afford him even if he took a cut to €3m; Inter, Milan, Napoli, Roma, Lazio, maybe a Fiorentina (lol) or Atalanta at a push. Half of those won't want him.
