"Bendtner is not the high-profile striker we were hoping to sign, but it's a chance we had to take in a difficult market like this," Marotta stated to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

 Trolling
He couldn't sign a good striker, so he just signed someone random instead. Great.

And the "big name" next summer will be Llorente, not an Aguero or a Cavani but just an "ok" player that Llorente is, and the next "top player" will maybe come after few more years, when another bargain will pop up.

He'll end up like Elia who was brought the same way last year :sergio: typical benchwarmer.

Today is my birthday and Marotta brings this douchebag. Last year he brought Elia. Beppe show some love for me and bring back Immobile rather than this shit.

I miss Moggi who gave me Zlatan on my birthday when he was around.

Llorente is not coming too dude..He is as good as gone..Hope Immobile has a great season at Genoa he's probably our only decent hope as far as 'quality strikers' are concerned.

I doubt we will sign Llorente, when he is free. Too much competition from Madrid, Barcelona, City, Chelsea, Paris and so on.

Marotta is a powerhouse in Italy, but a failure in Europe.

Yeah, there will be competition for Llorente next summer. On the one hand there will be more excuses for Marotta but I won't moan if we miss on him. Maybe at least Llo will free Higuain next summer...

Marotta is a Ranieri of sporting directors. He will accomplish decent to good targets, get close to the main target but will never reach it.

Damn you, Raz. I had just forgotten about Lucio for a moment, what with his injury. You just had to bring him up :andy2:

Though I have to say, it looks like I do not dislike Bendtner as much as everyone else seems to.

Llorente is above Marotta's punching weight.
