Why? Yo have excellent English skills, there is no need to try to finda a Spanish speaking Juventus forum.
For me its not about speaking english or not, but Ive kinda gotten bored of posting in english 24.7

Yes, it does happen that you dont take seriously someone that hasnt eloquently enough put forward his idea, altho what he/she has said might be smarter or informative than what others, with better language skills, might say.
not really sure what you're trying to say here.. are you just paraphrasing me?

My point exactly. As far as I can speculate on the matter, it stems from some kind of conviction that "I'm leaving and I don't want to leave any trace of my presence here to suggest that you inferior people deserve me". But noone asking for account deletion has ever explained their reason to me so I don't really know. I've rejected all those requests because I think the forum should leave an archive of past threads so that if someone were interested, they could read them without finding that all the users have been deleted.

I hope that too,but you can't just ban the new posters just because Shadowfax doesn't like them..I was bored then when the whole forum talking about Americans and british,I didn't complain,I just ignored..so if he is really getting annoyed, there is that "ignore list" button..that simple

Sorry, but I don't agree with that. Posters such as Juve_the_best are so difficult to understand they shouldn't be allowed to post IMO. Waste of time.
This is hard to understand?

ban me for what andy , just cuz saying the truth and without any insult !!

I can understand that just fine.

Will you ever give over on the threatening to leave? Some could say that's worse than leaving and returning. This is like a little social kick you need or something?

Come on, man. Don't tell me we're going to lose you over such a triviality.

Ah there we go. Feel better?

Also what's the contradictions of late? Supposidly anti-racist/nationalistic yet you want a Turk banned of the board? Supposidly pro-free speach yet you want some members removed for talking? Supposidly cultured yet want members banned because their English isn't good? Posting on the heavy handedness of Police and now posting that 'scag 'eads deserve a good beating'?

Also this is proof that I don't direct these 'provocative' posts at anyone specifically of for any reason. I just post what I want to and what the forum always seems completely blind to.

Your shit is starting to stink.

Btw Andy, that's signature material.

Martin, often such reasons are personal. Sometimes people want to forget that they ever took part here for whatever reason and the only way they feel they can forget is if any trace of them is removed completely. It may stem from a perfectionist attitude, or other problems. Or they may want to start over on Juventuz and may not want to deal with having another account on here. Or in another case, it may just be that they want to start a fresh new account with the new email address. People all have their weird quirks and unique facets in their personality. You might be dealing with that.

AFAIK (learned that from Gray )the forums are archived. Knowing that, people should have 100% control over what their presence on this board encompasses, as long as they obey the law. If it the power's that be think its not a good idea, they should be free to reject the request as long as they are reasonable.

In Shadowfax's case Im not sure what his motivation is, but if he wants it, he should get it. He will erase his record, but he will never erase the truth or the memories. I understand because a while back I thought about erasing my account and opening a fresh lac account without the history of obnoxious name changes behind it. I hated guerillaurbano and my last name change because it didnt feel like me.

I've always wondered what exactly you didnt like about deleting an account. I know it causes you inconvenience in an aesthetic sense more than a practical sense and Im curious to know what it is.

The return of Claire and Josh (?) has doubled the quality of discussion and healthy questioning/debate raising on Juventuz. Juventuz is refreshing again.

Stick around ;)

I think that the concept of a forum is to leave a trace of everything that went on. Keeping historical posts is a sentimental matter to many people. As such, it's not like talking on the phone or instant messaging. Maybe we should have mentioned to begin with, I didn't really think it was necessary.

But if you have read old threads were the members were deleted, it looks pretty pale. The username is not clickable because there is no profile. So you can't search for posts for instance. Maybe I'm sentimental but I don't like that, a forum is supposed to be whole I think. Does that make sense to you?

I've also had requests to "delete all my posts" which seemed completely pointless because it makes threads unreadable.

I hear your reasons and I'm sure others have their own but it's the specific of a forum that says it should be an archive as well.

Btw, nice to see you again :)

Not sure I know what you're referring to, but welcome back. Hopefully you can stick around for a while and stay on topic here once again like I know you can.

I really do not know why Paul suddenly left like that. This forum is indeed a Juve forum however we have always had fans of other clubs roaming around here. Paul never had a problem with Nick, Libero, or Jaecole being here and taking part in discussion, so this was a fairly strange occurance. Claire has a point with this free speech preaching. Not sure what is wrong with FenerUltras, however if they aren't taking part in discussion and just posting pics they deserve a ban.

Hopefully he will return though.

Not the first time he's done that, could be joking. Could be using his name to make a point/nudge a decision. I find it highly unlikely he will leave this forum.

Understood perfectly. I cant think of a better way to put it actually. I do believe people will raise the issue, however, that "Nobody reads the old posts. They wont be missed, and they arent a sentimental factor if nobody reads through them anyways."

How would you respond to that?

edit: and thanks for the welcome back.
