So what does everyone think about the impending arrivals of Kovac and Giannicheda?

I like the moves, especially Giannicheda. Granted he's 31, and might only be servicable for a couple of years, but his versatility in Midfield and Central Defense can't be overlooked. They both will add depth to the team.

Nick, if you get a chance, check your PM. I'll leave you a couple of phone numbers to get in touch with me.

And he's also working within the financial constraints with which he is given.

Like I had said earlier, free transfers can be a great avenue to acquire players, as long as you realize that you're not going to be obtaining world beaters. Its being done to acquire solid substitutes.

Mutu being the rare exception, of course. Although, I don't think we've heard the last of that issue.

Juve's first 11 is definintely good enough to win the CL, although I don't think Nedved deserves a place on the starting squad right now.

I would like to see them acquire another defender for depth, and a starting midfielder this summer, and then I think they could be all set for next season.

As far as Cassano is concerned, although I would LOVE to have him, Del Piero, as the season progressed, once again showed his worth and value to the team. I do feel however, that he will have a reduced role next season, possibly as an occasional starter, or someone to bring excitement and skill off the bench as a substitute.

It hurts me to say that, but unless they decide to sell Trezeguet, I can't see him as an every week player at this point in his career. You also don't want to stunt Ibra's development as one of the top players in the world, either.

I feel that what Capello was able to accomplish in bringing him in, and in turn being able to develop his skills as the season progressed, despite the public outcry from most people that Del Piero should still be the focal point of the attack, was Cap's greatest accomplishment this season.

For a player such as Zlatan, who came into Juve as a player with a reputation for having great skills but not being able to score goals, to put away 16 this years despite a nearly 2 month goal scroing drought, is a testament to both player and coach.

I can't wait to see Zlatan score at least 20 next season

If you can't tell by now, I'm a huge Zlatan fan.

I'm not terribly concerned about it.

The reason why I'm not is that you can see the talent is there.
This wasn't a situation where you have a 27-28 yr old player who suddenly caught lightning in a bottle to have a dream season.

You could see that he was able to make adjustments as the season progressed, where he didn't hold on to the ball nearly as long he did earlier in the campaign, which was one of his faults early on.

He has fantastic vision, and can make passes that some players only dream of. If he can improve his finishing, then he would be unstoppable.

Rare combination of size, pace, and skill. And he'll only be 24 next season.

That's some scary shit right there, Don.

I'm not a truck person by any means.

I was actually thisclose to signing up for a Nissan Murano.

However, my wife and I drove by a Honda dealership, and I was just curious about the new Honda Accord Hybrid. well, when I saw the Ridgeline, that was it.

I was hooked. And to top it all off, it has all the features I want, at 6000.00 dollars less than I would have paid for the Murano.

This is one sweet vehicle.

And the reason why I need it Martin, is because my current vehicle is 4 years old, and its time for a new one. :D

And Paul, all I can say to you is:

"Kindly contort your body into an uncompromising position and commit sodomy on yourself" :)

4 years is all you need to destroy a car? :D In that case I'd like to see you drive, preferably on video. :D

But wouldn't a "normal" car be less expensive (and probably practical) to drive (what do you call them? compacts?) than a giant SUV? I mean you're not getting it because you need to transport 3t of papers to and from work everyday, are you?

Oh no, the car is fine. Its in fantastic shape. Its just that its paid off, and with it being an American Car (Dodge Intrepid), the trade-in value is decreasing by the day.

Besides, my wife has given this particular Honda dealership a lot of business over the past 7 years (3 cars), so I'm sure that there is something that can be done about the price.

The reason why I'm getting the truck instead of a car is because of my height (6' 4"), there aren't a lot of cars in my price range (35-40K) that I feel particularly comfortable in. I was going to get a Nissan Maxima, but there's very little room.

Add to the fact that I refuse to buy an American Car ever again, and that left me with less options.
Sure, I could go out and get a Chrysler 300 if I wanted, but I won't.

And I can't afford an Acura, Lexus, or Inifiniti. Scratch that. I could, but for me to get everything I want in a vehicle, the price range now goes up into the 50-60K range.

Like I said earlier, I'm not a truck guy. But that was until I saw this.

Ever consider the VW Touareg? A lot like the Murano except a hotter ride(or I think so personaly). I think it'd be big enough and probably guzzle less gas than that beast of a honda.
