About as pissed off as I was when Greece won the Euro. In other words I couldnt care less. And even with that, the MLS will never be able to compete with European soccer.
No one is disputing that point.

I never said that the MLS will ever be able to compete with the European powers

Back then we did not have the Project 40 system and Regional Olympic development teams that help find talent for the MLS. Also, the league of today is not all filled with players from other countries.
Exactly. But is that progress so out of this world for you? Is that not exactly what you would expect to happen? You dont seem to understand my point and I couldnt care less to continue.

Oh wow good job Blandest, you're such a football expert. Won't really matter anyway because who cares about that if we win the World Cup. :howler:

If we win the world cup it will be due to the improvement of competition in the MLS.

It will also be due to the experience and increased quality of our players playing overseas, Andy.

You have to see the forest for the trees on this one.

Okay lets see Sergio how are we going to get those players overseas? What happened with Beasley, Gibbs, and Donovan? How about in the future with Adu, Gaven, Eddie Johnson? It all stems from the MLS.

Ohh yea, yesterday the English proved they were better than us.

Or if you are talking internationaly. Where did England finish last World Cup?
Burke ill leave this for Nicole. Its hard enough dicussing with Andy but with you I wont even begin.

But really, one reasonable finish in one world cup hardly makes the US anywhere near the quality of England national team. You guys talk to much on minor details are stats. Watch the game sometimes.

Goodnight Chump.

They should add the MLS to the Copa Libertadores or some sort of American (continental) competition, so that way if any team from the US won it they could compete against the best european club in the intercontinental cup

Then don't, because you could not make less sense than you are now.

Yes, you are right in that regard.

However, what would happen then if these players didn't improve themselves further by playing overseas is that these kids would suffer from being a big fish in a little pond, and their development would stagnate, perhaps even regress.

Our best players NEED to play overseas Andy if they want to have any chance of being world class players on an international level.

Its reality, and to be honest, its not a very harsh one. Its the same as all these European players coming over to the NBA because they want to play against the best, and look at the results.

Well it is obvious that he knows more than you.
Why because I disagree with your half assed opinions? And since you bring it up, andy hasnt even made me sweat once on football discussion. And I dont consider myself to know much at all about football.

Contrary to popular belief, I am not actually retarded and I do aknowledge that Sergio.
