Oh, this is just an insult to 2pac. :D

and Prosciutto (the good stuff) cost 16.00 a pound on Federal Hill.

Not that its stopped me from buying it.

Mmmm Sharp Provolone wrapped in a thin slice of Prosciutto, with some dry red wine. yummers.

    strapped
& I never get to lay back
'Cause I always got to worry 'bout
    the pay backs
some buck that I roughed up way back
    comin' back after all

"Now I clown around when I hang around with the Underground,
Girls they used to frown, and not be down when I come around
Gas me, they used to pass me, and even diss me,
Harass me, and now they ask me if they can kiss me"

Are we still talking about Parma Ham?
Its not just ham..its a "slice of heaven"

Anyone notice how Berlusconi is looking "extra" chipper these days...compliments of a Californian plastic surgeon. (Touch ups if you will). Apparently in England this is front page news but stories about the mysterious suicide of a "weapons inspector" tied to their Prime Minister is not that important.

It is indeed a slice of Heaven. Great as a sandwich, beautiful with canteloupe melon, and the best topping a pizza could ever hope for.
This should be the main focus of our thread

How on earth can you put something as delicious as that on a pizza?!? It should be against the law! :p :D

The 2nd way to take it that you mentioned (with a melon) is the best and brings out the real flavour of it :lick: :lick: :lick:

Yes, I think we should start a Prosciutto thread.

My favorite way, as i said earlier, is wrapped around a wedge of sharp provolone cheese.

I'm not crazy about the whole cantaloupe thing.

    Pizza???

That's like putting caviar on a Ritz cracker.

It's good to see us 3 Italian Americans have a common ground.

    Expensive ham:D:D

My mom makes a kick-ass prosciutto. She has a slab of it curing in her wine cellar as we speak.

The house and the backyard is HUGE, I could probably fit about 70 of you.

Let me call her right now, I mean she isn't doing very much except babysitting her grandson, I'm sure she won't mind.:D:D

AND, to top it all off, she has Gol TV. Makes me wonder why I don't visit more on Sunday mornings........................................OH yeah, I know why, because I can watch football from the comfort of my own bed.

I don't like ham. There's just something about it that rubs me the wrong way. I'm a pepperoni guy.
You don't like natural products but you like the processed stuff??!! Oh yeah your Finnish ;)

I agree its over done...over used like the Italian Mobster Movie theme i.e. "hey Johnny Bada boom bada bing"....

For a while every single wedding had the mandatory Cantaloupe and Prosciutto opening entree dish.
