In the US, FOX Soccer Channel (FSC) will air live Serie A matches in English on Saturdays usually at 2:30pm Eastern Time and Sundays usually at 9am Eastern Time and 2:30pm Eastern Time.

RAI International will air the Serie A in Italian throughout the Americas (including the US and Canada), with live matches on Saturdays usually at 12noon and 2:30pm Eastern Time, and Sundays usually at 9am and 2:30pm Eastern Time.

GolTV will have no access to the Serie A in the US during the new TV contract cycle.

So I've predicted this since Beijing was awarded the 2008 Olympic Games when I was there in 2001. China has a major world chip on its shoulder, and they're out to show off for everybody -- since they believe everybody disrespects them. And the Olympics are going to be a prime vehicle for that national pride ... except that the Chinese are inevitably going to do a variety of things that make the rest of the world scratch their heads and say, "What the f^%#$??..."

For example, when Beijing bid for the 2000 Games, which they lost to Sydney, their proposal to the IOC included (and I'm not making this up) the eradication of all houseflies in Beijing. Yes, "What the f^%#$??..."

And so now that the Games are upon us, I'm waiting for the grand Olympic ceremony and celebration of Chinese culture -- to be made all the more complete by freaked out Olympic athletes everywhere who find the severed heads of pigs in their Olympic Village accommodations as welcoming gifts. But in the meantime, it looks like we have to settle for the Chinese effort to build a paved highway to Mt. Everest for the Olympics:

I just got a hair cut and the wierdest thing happened. The girl cutting my hair asked if she could shave my beard, I explained that I was planning on taking care of it myself later, but she insisted on cutting it.
