Yeah, I'd really like Pado's opinion on the matter. My brother goes to one of the best law schools in the country, UVA, and right now he's working for one of the top 3 law firms in America.

The thing is Andy, and everyone knows this, you always work with precedents. And that's what I'm talking about here. Perhaps Ze misunderstood me and thought I was talking about criminals which were never trialed. Obviously you can't use that.

On another note, I'm actually thinking about going to law school after having studied history and Italian. Not quite sure my parents are willing to pay that though .

You can't use that whatsoever. If you get into law school, you'll learn that the law is to be interpreted and is subject to discretion regarding certain situations. You cannot waltz around thinking that letting people go with a warning is against the law. That's the whole purpose of discretion. If every single officer abides strictly, litteraly to the law, you will have a communist state.

Both Pado and Burke have called me a Nazi, while in reality I'm pretty much as far from being a Nazi as Jews are from an ideological point of view.

I don't think you understand the concept of discretion, nor do I think you understand a warning. Driving conditions change with variables in place and you simply cannot change people with the strictist of crimes in question because it is fairly easy to drive over the speed limit when keeping up with traffic. I've never been let off with just a warning, but several people I know have. Those people were subject to the discretion of the officer. If every officer strictly interpreted the law such as this, everybody would be in jail, no matter honest mistakes or not. You just don't understand this concept, Seven.

Look, Andy, the true problem of communism was the I'm more equal than you principle. That goes for the law system as well. You could stretch it as far as saying what the police officer did with Vin is a typical communist act.

The problem is Andy, it's not about discretion. It's about discrimination. The issue at hand is not whether or not he gave a ticket, but whether or not he didn't give a ticked because it was Vinman. There's a fundamental difference you don't seem to grasp.

Don't try to talk yourself out of this one with lame stereotypes and lines that say nothing. If everyone was given a ticket if he was speeding, the result would be less people speeding. That wouldn't mean everyone was going to jail. Come on, Andy, you know that this is just giving it a twist.
