I'm not going to agree with Seven on judicial matters just for the fact that he has never been to law school... that place will honestly make you a machine and Pado has been through it and owns a successful law firm. That, alone, will make me believe the truth regarding these judicial matters on this forum. Forza Pado.
Yeah, I'd really like Pado's opinion on the matter. My brother goes to one of the best law schools in the country, UVA, and right now he's working for one of the top 3 law firms in America.

That's exactly how I think of it mate ;) I've listened to rap from all over the world. Frankly, I was sick and tired of American rap. I couldn't stand the whole "cash, money, hoes" shit that hit rap. Nobody does it like the Wu Tang, BIG, 2 Pac, Nas (ony of my favorites as well) anymore.

Tomorrow I'll throw some Brazilian and Portuguese rap your way :)
Bring it on, bro. I'm not tired of some American rap because in all honesty it's some of the best, especially what NaS blurts out or Canibus. The nonsense going around right now in american rap culture is indeed pathetic, and thats why I navigate towads NaS' old stuff and new tracks as well. 2Pac is not the best rapper anyway.

It's an excellent movie along with Crash. Both portray what you say. Syriana on an international level and Crash on a national.
"Snow covered mountains, just there right in reach. Snow covered mountains." One of my favorite quotes from that movie, wish I exactly remembered the verbiage.

The thing is Andy, and everyone knows this, you always work with precedents. And that's what I'm talking about here. Perhaps Ze misunderstood me and thought I was talking about criminals which were never trialed. Obviously you can't use that.

On another note, I'm actually thinking about going to law school after having studied history and Italian. Not quite sure my parents are willing to pay that though :D.

One of my favorite quotes ever, from the movie in question:

"But what do you need a financial advisor for? Twenty years ago you had the highest Gross National Product in the world, now you're tied with Albania. Your second largest export is secondhand goods, closely followed by dates which you're losing five cents a pound on... You know what the business community thinks of you? They think that a hundred years ago you were living in tents out here in the desert chopping each other's heads off and that's where you'll be in another hundred years, so on behalf of my firm I accept your offer."
That was indeed great :D.

"I have personally seen a bill from your law firm for the government of Saudi Arabia for 36 Million Dollars. A one-line bill for services rendered."

"The business of Whitting Sloan is not under consideration at this time."

'Well, it ought to be. Danny is a good man. A friend of mine."

:lol2:

Man, I'm really enjoying this variety of rap from other countries. This stuff is good as well and I'm surprised I found it on Limewire. There's nothing more interesting than experiancing the music you love that originates from other countries.

You have a good ear for foreign rap, Tahir.
There's lots of good rap, but it has got to be the most raped form of music ever.

You can't use that whatsoever. If you get into law school, you'll learn that the law is to be interpreted and is subject to discretion regarding certain situations. You cannot waltz around thinking that letting people go with a warning is against the law. That's the whole purpose of discretion. If every single officer abides strictly, litteraly to the law, you will have a communist state.

That was indeed great :D.
It's fantastic. And it makes perfect sense. Rami and his father should be ashamed of themselves.

Look, in western society we have been working with precedents since ancient Athens. They should be used wisely and obviously you can't go around screaming someone else didn't get punished, unless it is the exact same situation. Precedents were, are and always will be an important tool. However, you can't say you shouldn't get punished just because of a precedent. It's one of the things you use to enhance your argument. Nothing more, nothing less. But I guess Pado's the one who'll give a definitive answer to the matter.

Communism failed because they didn't do that, Andy ;). This is what astonishes me about people on this forum. You're always quick to dish out terms like communism and nazism, but most of the time you don't know what those things actually mean. I'm not saying it is easy to fully comprehend them, but don't be so quick to use them. Both Pado and Burke have called me a Nazi, while in reality I'm pretty much as far from being a Nazi as Jews are from an ideological point of view.

EDIT: it's also not about letting people go with a warning. It's about letting certain people go with a warning, Andy.

No, the reason why communism failed is because the people in charge of the state were greedy and formed some sort of fascist equivilent regarding how the law was interpreted. Whether the person in question broke the law is up to the officer on duty, and perhaps that person has never received a ticket in his/her life while living in the most volatile driving area in the nation. Should that person be given a ticket because she broke the law?

I don't think you understand the concept of discretion, nor do I think you understand a warning. Driving conditions change with variables in place and you simply cannot change people with the strictist of crimes in question because it is fairly easy to drive over the speed limit when keeping up with traffic. I've never been let off with just a warning, but several people I know have. Those people were subject to the discretion of the officer. If every officer strictly interpreted the law such as this, everybody would be in jail, no matter honest mistakes or not. You just don't understand this concept, Seven.

Look, Andy, the true problem of communism was the I'm more equal than you principle. That goes for the law system as well. You could stretch it as far as saying what the police officer did with Vin is a typical communist act.

The problem is Andy, it's not about discretion. It's about discrimination. The issue at hand is not whether or not he gave a ticket, but whether or not he didn't give a ticked because it was Vinman. There's a fundamental difference you don't seem to grasp.

Don't try to talk yourself out of this one with lame stereotypes and lines that say nothing. If everyone was given a ticket if he was speeding, the result would be less people speeding. That wouldn't mean everyone was going to jail. Come on, Andy, you know that this is just giving it a twist.

You're the dumbest guy I have ever talked to, Vin. For all I know, you actually were wearing a referee shirt.

Don't you even think about questioning my intelligence.

Perhaps I should rephrase that Vinman-style:

You're the DUMBEST guy I have ever talked to, Vin. For all I know, you actually were wearing a REFEREE SHIRT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't YOU even think about questioning my intelligence!!!!!!!!!!!
oooh...are you trying to scare me ???:p

I dont have to question your intelligence...everyone here can clearly see that you are a STUPID 19 year old kid who has NO common sense, and NO life experiences to consider yourself an expert in ANY field

You think you are so smart, but, time and time again, you say the STUPIDEST things that prove otherwise

It is only YOU who cant understand what everyone else has (very patiently I might add) tried to convey to you

do me a favor...get your English dictionary out and look up the word DISCRETION....I know that you won't be able to comprehend its meaning, but let me give you a little hint, Hector...

I DECIDE who I write a traffic ticket to....so, if I pull over another police officer, fireman, lawyer, college kid coming home from Penn State, off the wall guy from West Virginia, a Milan fan, a guy who drinks extravagant coffee from San Fran, or a guy who embarassed CRAPello in Romania and recorded the whole thing on his cellphone, I GET TO DECIDE WHAT MY COURSE OF ACTION WILL BE !!!!

I know you can't understand this, because your reasoning skills are deficient, but thats the way things are...and if I decide not to give a ticket to a fellow officer, because there is a UNIVERSAL understanding between us, then you will have to accept it !!

I'm not sure what the hell goes on in Belgium, but I imagine its the same way....you just dont know what the hell you're talking about !!

I'm surprised this argument is still continuing. The truth is that police everywhere give breaks not only to other police officers but regular Joes like myself. Yes even in Belgium after a crazy Circle party. That doesn't make it a blatant abuse of power. It just shows the willingness of the police to help a guy out.

Yo Drew,

You decide jack, Vin. The law decides. You only decide whether or not to follow a law. You're a police officer for crying out loud. You're supposed to be the law. And don't get me started on discretion. We all know someone else used that word somewhere along the line and you just nicked it.

From now on I refuse to write anything you write unless it's written more or less properly. The caps and exclamation marks are really annoying. I feel like talking to a 13 year old girl.

You didn't use capitals , you should have used one though .

And the argument wasn't about that. But I never expected you to get it. I'm starting to find it really funny that you are questioning my intelligence though. In fact it makes perfect sense. Retards never like intellectuals.
