the movie is just like a micheal moore movie

the best way to describe it, in my opinion, the whole gore thing has made it very easy for the non-believeing right to badmouth the whole issue.

i dont know if you know what he said to congress or senate (one of them)
-he said he wants the government to have a 3+ years "masspersuation" campaign in order for the people to built windmills in their backyards

when some "ignorant" republican asked him if he will lower his house emmissions to those of an average american in 1 year (apperantly he is spending 20 times more energy in his home than the average american) he simply changed the subject

both the parties cannot seem to come to a stupid agreement in the middle and al gore and him movie are not helping

i have been watching too much of the glenn beck show lately and he is right winged

Yeah, he just made his house environmentally-friendly a couple weeks ago. What a hypocritical bastard.

well the federal government has a plan to reduce emission to the standarts of the kyoto accord by 2050

and the provincial government wants to reduce emissions by 30% in 2020

the municipality of toronto (and ontario in general) had the chance to divert 84 of its trucks with garbage that go daily to a landfill in michigan towards incinerators, yet they decided to just send them to another landfill in ontario

we recycle about 30% and when i moved into a house my father had to ask around on how the recycling program worked becuase we recieved no information from the authorities

this is in a country where 70+% of the people define global warming as A major issue

i agree with you in principle, however, when you think about it, it would be more benefitial if people decided to become more fuel efficient without changing their lifestyle (which to a certain extent is possible). dont get me wrong, i do not think al gore is the next best thing since ... well you know ... sliced bread, but the republicans who bring out those points are even worse

Speaking of this movie, I bet most of you guys saw this video on youtube:

But thats not the interesting part. This video was created by DCI Group, a PR agency representing ExxonMobil!

After I found that out made me reevalute my decision to major in Marketing for my graduate degree :yuck:
