Interesting, isn't it? And what is linux compatibility to an mp3 player or a digital camera? It's handling the device as a usb mass storage device so you can plug it in anywhere as a regular harddrive. Rather than building in all kinds of useless protocols that only support WMP and whatever bs.
In the case of a usb drive, it's pretty obvious, but Trekstor makes a point out of supporting linux explicitly in all their products, which is why they have my approval.
I tried to find some video for that, but I couldn't...
Here is some description for it:
The torch relay concluded in style. Mohammed bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, son of the emir and captain of the Qatar equestrian endurance team, emerged on horseback from a platform that rose from the center of the field to carry the Asian Games torch the final leg of its journey.
In a dramatic finale Al Thani rode the steed up stairs for the full height of the stadium to light a giant gyroscope-like cauldron as fireworks blazed in the background.
The torch final found its way to Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Qatari equestrian captain who rose through the floor of the stadium astride his horse to accept the flame.
After giving a brief salute to the Emir, Al-Thani then turned and urged his mount into a gallop as he gallantly rode up a ramp that reached the full height of the stadium, much to the audience’s amazement.
At the top the Torch lit a gold star, which turned upwards within revolving circles which became the astrolabe of the Seekers quest. The flame was lit signalling the start of the 15th Asian Games.
You know they actually held back some of their best athletes from Greece in 2004 because they're so set on making a big splash in 2008? And they still won lots of events.
