obviuosly , you are not a Christian, and you support Syria...good for you !!!
I'm sure you were exstatic with the assassination last week...just another move by Syria to get rid of democracy, and the Christians who are spearheading that effort
and I guess you can thank the USA for giving the Shiites their "freedom" in Iraq, and allowing them to pursue civil war... instead of building a democracy with the Sunni's
Vinman, please address the topic instead of judging me. Since you mention it, no I am not a supporter of Bashar's stone age Baathist regime, but on the flip side I am neither a supporter of American imperialism. My main concern is for the security of Lebanon and the region. Anything happening in Syria will screw us over. The security level in Lebanon is already f*cked as it is, imagine how it would be with more regional instability.
Yes I am a Muslim, and by no means was I celebrating the recent murder or Pierre Gemayel. He actually had strong views for a unified Lebanon, and wasn't as much an ultra-Christian hard-liner who's mindset is still in 1985. (those who believe Lebanon should be divided into Cantons, and become a federal republic)
As for the Shi'a in Iraq it wasn't them who pursued a civil war. It was the Sunni's who regard them as infidels and bombed one of the holy sites. (which by the way is a holy site for both Sunni and Shi'a alike, but the sole purpose was to instigate a war between the two).
Anyway, we are touching upon this topic a little bit in hangout forum on radical/moderate Islam.
I won't post here on politics any more.......I'll leave the rest of you to continue discussing exotic actresses
