obviuosly , you are not a Christian, and you support Syria...good for you !!!

I'm sure you were exstatic with the assassination last week...just another move by Syria to get rid of democracy, and the Christians who are spearheading that effort

and I guess you can thank the USA for giving the Shiites their "freedom" in Iraq, and allowing them to pursue civil war... instead of building a democracy with the Sunni's
Vinman, please address the topic instead of judging me. Since you mention it, no I am not a supporter of Bashar's stone age Baathist regime, but on the flip side I am neither a supporter of American imperialism. My main concern is for the security of Lebanon and the region. Anything happening in Syria will screw us over. The security level in Lebanon is already f*cked as it is, imagine how it would be with more regional instability.

Yes I am a Muslim, and by no means was I celebrating the recent murder or Pierre Gemayel. He actually had strong views for a unified Lebanon, and wasn't as much an ultra-Christian hard-liner who's mindset is still in 1985. (those who believe Lebanon should be divided into Cantons, and become a federal republic)

As for the Shi'a in Iraq it wasn't them who pursued a civil war. It was the Sunni's who regard them as infidels and bombed one of the holy sites. (which by the way is a holy site for both Sunni and Shi'a alike, but the sole purpose was to instigate a war between the two).

Anyway, we are touching upon this topic a little bit in hangout forum on radical/moderate Islam.

I won't post here on politics any more.......I'll leave the rest of you to continue discussing exotic actresses :p

I was under the impression Saint Nicholas came on the sixth of december?
His name day is on December 6th, which is indeed the official day he comes by. But in Holland he hands out presents on the eve of his name day, that being the evening of December 5th.

I'm assuming he can't cover both Holland and Flanders in one night so he heads South on his actual name day. Who's to say :toast:

So what about this guy who was brutally shot to death in the good old democratic US of A? I only heard about the headlines though. Anyway, nothing justifies such an attack on an unarmed man.

I bet he left his driver's licence at home.

"Carlos Tévez himself had suggested a fine, but his West Ham United teammates came up with a different penalty for his sudden departure after his substitution in the match against Sheffield United. When manager Alan Pardew suggested the players should think of an alternative punishment, it only took them a short while to come up with one: Tévez will be wearing the Brazilian national team's jersey for all of West Ham training sessions this week."

awesome :D

That's gonna trigger all kinds of rumours about the Brazzies trying to buy him over to their side after his picture in the yellow shirt makes the frontpage of all the tabloids in Argentina :D

Hey Nick-Nack; would you be prepared to welcome back Judas himself?

Sheva set for Milan loan?
Wednesday 29 November, 2006
Chelsea are ready to allow Andriy Shevchenko to rejoin Milan on loan in January, reports in England are suggesting.

The Ukrainian signed for the Stamford Bridge outfit in a £31m move this summer, but has not yet adjusted to his new reality.

He’s scored just three League goals this term and has been heavily criticised by the Press in recent weeks.

According to The Sun newspaper, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is prepared to send the striker back to the San Siro for personal reasons.

Not only is Shevchenko struggling to adjust to the change, but wife Kristin is also believed to be finding life tough in London with their two small children.

Milan would welcome Sheva back with open arms, especially given their attacking problems since he was sacrificed six months ago.

Should the former Dynamo Kiev man leave, Chelsea would ponder making a £21m move for Valencia man David Villa in January.

However, President Juan Soler has claimed that no firm bid has been made and any buyer would have to pay Villa’s £100m buy-out clause.

Shevchenko has been consistently associated with an imminent return to the Rossoneri, even if he has ruled out such a possibility on numerous occasions.
