TO NICK:
Defender Kakha Kaladze believes his former Milan team-mate Andrei Shevchenko made a serious misjudgement in joining Chelsea.
28-year-old Georgian international Kaladze was a target for The Blues 15 months ago, but the clubs failed to reach an agreement for his move to West London.
While Kaladze has reveled in his decision to remain in Italy, he believes Ukrainian international Shevchenko is already regretting his move after a slow start to his Stamford Bridge career.
The £30 million man has scored just once for the club since the season began, as Didier Drogba has stolen the plaudits for his goalscoring touch, and Kaladze feels for the 30-year-old frontman.
"It breaks my heart to see him playing the way he does now," Kaladze told the Sun.
"It is clear he is not expressing himself and that he has not settled into the Chelsea side."
Jose Mourinho's side sit pretty at the top of the table, but the Serie A man insists his old friend will be missing life in Serie A still because he has failed to acclimatise to The Premiership yet.
"We miss Shev now he has gone. But I am certain he misses playing for AC Milan one hell of a lot more. It seems that he has not got into Chelsea's way of playing," he added.
"I spoke with him before he took the final decision But I did not give him any advice. This is a personal matter where everybody has to act according to their own way of thinking."
