Here it is Andy:

"Holy shit! You have to check out the new poster on Nick Against the World. His name is Andy and he is the coolest. Everything he says is sooo cool, and he is so good looking. I'm going to start acting like Andy."

Yep. I haven't seen too much of that. But it is "hype", you have to admit.
That sounds like a Miss Dubai quote.

Actually, Cocu does have a point. PSV played the better football over the 180 minutes only to fall short on aggregate.
Correction: 90 minutes....while Milan popped in two goals PSV was giving it their all to no avail (in the first leg).

    ++ [ originally posted by Andy ] ++
That's football. I wouldn't say Milan does not deserve to be in the Final, however IMO PSV had the better run of play, controlled the matches for longer periods, and overall played the better football between the legs. But no matter how many chances you create, the only deciding factor is how many chances you finish off. Ambrosini finished his chance well, and that's PSV's fault they lost concentration at the back. Milan in the final.
Milan pushed the final 15 minutes...something that has been consistent with their game the whole season...they refuse to die and look ahead to a tie...to extra time or to penalty kicks. PSV was already thinking about WHO would kick the PK when Ambrosini was waiting for Kaka's cross.
Milan had an excellent CL run...demonstrated extraordinary defense...goal keeping and an ability to overcome great hurdles (their best player and goal scorer being out for a long period).
There is no injustice in Milan making it to the final..despite Cocu's statement borrowed from the Mourinho book of "excuses".
P.S. just another example of HYPOCRISY: When Italians complain about the officiating or bad calls its "typical". When Mourinho who is at the helm of English team does it ...... well "he has a point".

P.S. ALL THAT AND A BAG OF CHIPS??!!! It is because of lines like these that Zlatan will always be picked on in life and eventually go postal on everyone.
    LOL

Nick, maybe it just took 20 years for that line to reach Bosnia. It's possible as Bosnia is a nation lacking in wiggas. I'll bet that Bosnia is home to only two or three wiggas in the whole country. Burke could move there and be a king, a Wigga King.

Yeah, and you also have to have humility so you can regonise your mistakes.

Arrogant is just something with a bad name, like vanity. FFS, why cant you love yourself?

I have a book you might like to read Seven.

I don't really hear people say "Oh no, it wasn't". It's more like, "Thanks, I'm glad you liked it". It's fair enough to acknowledge that you've done a good job, but it becomes arrogance when you get to the "I'M THE MAN! I'M THE MAN!" stage ala Stevie Gerrard.

That's the thing; humility isn't about thinking that nothing you do is any good and beating yourself up all the time; it's about keeping your feet on the ground.

If I went to your house and complimented you on a meal you made me, even if you knew it tasted good you wouldn't say "Yeah, I'm pretty feckin awesome, aren't I?"

Another poor example off the top of my head: When e.g. a tennis player wins a tournament and they give their speech, it's pretty obvious to all that they were the best player on the court, but you hardly hear anyone say "I AM THE GREATEST!" at the top of their voice. Sure, you might put that down to a show of modesty, but I think a lot of people genuinely mean it when they say things like "I couldn't have done it without my coaching staff, manager, fans" etc.

ok i'll stop babbling now

Sounds like you're spewin $#!^ Nicolai; please don't tell me you act like you're Christian Vieri.

OK, I have to go back to court now, so kids - try not to kill each other. Oh, and Seven, try not to leave. :D
I left, but came back again :D. Does that make me Zlatan? I've always wondered what it felt like to be Zlatan. That is, if Zlatan is a 19 year old gorgeously looking lesbian.

    My apologies. 135 minutes. :lazy:

Milan pushed the final 15 minutes...something that has been consistent with their game the whole season...they refuse to die and look ahead to a tie...to extra time or to penalty kicks. PSV was already thinking about WHO would kick the PK when Ambrosini was waiting for Kaka's cross.

Yes, Milan started to push forward in the closing minutes because they had no choice. After sitting back for 85 minutes and nearly having four goals end up in the back of their net you sort of get tired sitting back there. However I wouldn't say Milan dominated the final minutes as it was about even, both teams going forward.

I don't think anybody is claiming it is an injustice for Milan going to Istanbul, however you must admit that you escaped by the skin of your teeth. If teams were award "style points" or "effort and heart points" PSV would have come out on top, and IMO they played the better football. But as you very well know the best teams pull through difficult matches even if they do not play well, the latter an understatement for Milan yesterday night.

And that was the worst defensive display I've seen from Milan since the Riazor loss last year. Absolute horrendous defending.

Milan were never in danger of getting booted out from PSV....the scoreline was never in PSV's favor to close the game. A miracle would have had to occur..it did not.
    what a shame :D
True... Liverpool will still beat you though and finally take permanent possesion of the cup as they deserve.

Funny you mention that. Because here is what gets me. For years I have been hearing the English sports media criticize Italian football, Italian coaches, Italian teams and Serie A as a whole for its 'playing style' and mentality. Labelling it 'boring'...anti-football, etc. Then we have little Liverpool which apparently to these journalists is evidence that English football is back.
You make me laugh... You attack our media yet you see only a tiny peice of it.
We have more tv time , radio time and column inches devoted to football news than any other country in europe... Yet you pervay us all as biased due to the few bits that you read... its a joke.
The way people attack us for saying the juve - milan final was boring... which in reality our press was split allmost down the middle on that match... yet virtually every other country in europe slated it and gets no mention around here.
A couple of our press say something and are attacked even though a certain major italian sports paper led with a headline of how milan and juve had embarrassed italy with their display in front of the worlds football lovers.

Why does no one mention how biased italian commemtators are... Simple... people mainly only hear that spoken or written in english

They simply are the worst i have to listen to who disrespect evey foreign team.
How many other countries do you know when an epl team faces inter at san siro... the commentator says that this 'epl' team doesnt deserve to even be on the same pitch as inter... how inter will humiliate them... Then when crap epl team ripps inter to pieces said commetator goes on about the disgrace of losing to an epl team and offering absolutely no praise to epl team at all.
Commentators who constantly insult the players of visiting teams.
A sports press who in general live on conspiracy theories and excuses.

The fact is the english sports press are no more biased than any other nations (less than many) , Our press' comments are jus read by many more people worldwide as we speak english and as such get more coverage.

How many people on this forum read the italian papers? How many watch italian tv ? ... Id bet.. Not very many... But they all read / watch stuff from our press...

Then they judge on a very small sector of our media... its rubbish
    However,
Liverpool beats Juve 2-1 (1 goal margin)
Then Liverpool holds Juve down for 90 minutes...0-0
Liverpool then holds Chelsea down 0-0 for 90 minutes.
Then they pop one in on Chelsea and the rest of the match pray and build a defensive wall as Chelsea attack all night long.
Hmmm interesting strategy...when Italians do it ..its called 'catenaccio'...when Liverpool does it they call it "heart"..perseverance, etc.
Sell that sh*t to the tourists....Liverpool 'ripped' a page from the catenaccio text book.
Im not gonna get into this catenaccio crap... but do your self a favour and go watch a few tapes of herreras inter and think about what you've written.

Also if liverpool were so useless and never offensive... how come in both legs they had more shots on goal target than the so called attacking chelsea.

And this isn't CHELSEA or JUVE...no sitting back and waiting for us to screw up. This sh*t won't fly here. We don't have Del Piero's who will be picking 'daisy's' on the field and pull disappearing acts all match long. You give us an inch and you will be down 1-0 before you can say 'Crespo...Shevchenko...Tomasson...Kaka...'
You cant say that... football doesnt work that way... A cl final anything can happen... we will see on the day... but you should give some respect to your opponents.

Actually no. Because what PSV did Liverpool cannot. Liverpool has not gotten to the final playing like PSV. Had Milan had a 2-0 goal lead on Liverpool it would have been a much less stressful night than tonight. Liverpool has not exactly exemplified 'offense' and attacking power.
Who says liverpool cant... They ve got to the final using the correct tactics for them to get there... no one is interested in how you get there...
First you make sure you reach the destination.
Then you can worry about how you win...
If you think liverpool will play the way they played against chelsea against milan... the you my friend are a fool.

Liverpool are capable of playing in many ways... their only problem this season has been consistency... If you think they wont be up for this game and not able to perform... your wrong

You may be the better team (which you are)... But it wont be some stroll in the park...And i gaurantee you now the liverpool players want it more than your milan players do... they will also have more support in the stadium and much more vocal support at that.

I am actually happy Chelsea did not make it...for one year it puts the Russian's mentality of buying a CL title to rest and proves it can't be done that easily.
The whole chelsea buying titles busines is frankly lkaughable to me.

They bought it , yet they have absolutely no depth in their squad
They bought it, yet terry and lampard have had to play with injuries for the last 6 months as there was no one to replace them... resulting in both players requiring surgery over the summer.

Look at the list of players they bought... hardly any of which received offers from teams of the same level.
Some that most had never heard of or thought little of.

The so called superstars in crespo and veron were complete failures.
    Mutu a disaster

The wasted money on an overrated one season wonder in the form of drogba.

The only reason for saying they bought it is the actual amount spent... but look at those that they massively overpaid for... Look at the list and see which of those names you would have been happy if we (or milan in your case) bought... not many.

The fact that there best forward has been the longterm and supposedly rubbish eidur... not any of these super buys...
Who were those buys by the way... cause i dont see anyone who was really hot property when they bought them

The best players have been a couple of english lads that hardly anyone was interested in before they were signed and only rated at all in their own country.

    Bought it... My arse

Not too mention that every team buys it to a certain degree in reality.
What teams are winning on the big stage with only home grown players?? ... None!

Did juve buy the title with... nedved, buffon and thuram ?
Only close on 100 mil... No of course we didnt buy it... thats different

Its not a joke..because the constant sh*t that flows into North American in the past 15 years is the English press and their views of the Italian game. So while 99% of the British media may be neutral (though I don't agree) its the "anti-footbal"/Catenaccio sh*t that people in the rest of the world hear and repeat.
Listen to an English Commentator during an Italian match....the word 'defensive style' and 'catenaccio' will be repeated 10 times even if the score line is 5-4.
I didn't attack the media as a whole ..I think it was quite obvious. However, there is NO DOUBT that the general consensus of Italian football in England revolves around those comments.

Well should it?? The English are the foremost experts on discovering this 'catenaccio' style that is dreadfully boring...obviously we want to hear what the 'old school' commentators have to say over a Finnish journalist.

They began to believe the headlines.....anyways, the final was called boring by SOME in the Italian press because Juve and their star (DP) pulled a disappearing act that day. In my opinion.

    Are you kidding me?????????
After every major tournament when Italy is kicked out I receive calls from back home saying "Why are the Italians such whiners..why the press whine so damn much...why are they blaming the ref...why, etc."
Paul, don't tell me the Gazzetta articles and headlines are not repeated all over Reuters in a typical "there go the Italians complaining again."

Sorry, thats not what I see.
    Perfect example:
    EURO 2004:
    Journalist: Totti, what happened today?
Totti: We had trouble playing..had trouble with possession and passing...we were off in terms of form.
Journalist: You looked like you were uncomfortable...are you injured?
Totti: No, not at all. I had a problem with my shoes at some point is all.
HEADLINE; ITALIANS BLAME SHOES FOR LOSS.

Spread your theory wide...because its quite THIN. Italians have been labelled the whiners and conspiracy theorists of football LONG AGO. To me THAT is quite disgusting.

Juve won the title thanks to many players that were around long before Buffon Neddy and Thuram.
Milan's core is composed of players like Maldini, Dida, Gattuso, Pirlo: hardly a BUYING SPREE.
What bothers me about Chelsea is the Russian's classless quotes: WE WANT SHEVA...HOW MUCH..any price!
I actually respect Moratti much more because though he "doesn't get it" he has class and doesn't SH*T in other people's "lawn"
