so i am working nightshift and bored out of my mind, so i do the obvious thing and log onto juventuz where i dwindle away the night hours replying to threads and occasionally making sure my patients have not croaked due to my neglect.

i stumble across a thread called anti-thuram posted by andy and decide to have a look. what i find is lots of messages berating the man and regardless of how i feel about him right now i fear this is taking it a bit far.

i decide to leave a message, in amongst all the hatred, that basically states that i feel thuram has shown a distinct lack of class in his engineering of a move, was actually quite pleased with it tbh.

so imagine my surprise when i looked again this morning and found some half-wit singles out my post for criticism, with his first post in the forum this wank-stain is having a go at me. which would be understandable, except it is a comment about class in amongst all the "Vaffancculo" "disgrace" and "wasn't fit to be a captain" comments.

is it just me or are we getting more retarded members since we were sent down?

@ Seven - totally agree. Poulsen gets no punishment for 90 minutes of provocation against Totti; De Rossi gets a 4 match ban for leading with his elbow on a 50-50 ball, and the annointed Saint Zinedine of Fifa gets a mere 3 match ban for one of the most violent assualts in the history of footy. The fact that it happened in FIFA's showpiece Final apparently did not matter since we have the De Rossi's and Mastoeni's of the world tackling badly in the "more important" group games.

Oh and for the record:

Materazzi got three straight reds in his career.

Zidane got twelve.
Just deleted my previous post cause I thought you were referring to a different situation. If you didn't see it altogether, no biggie cause it was irrelevant :D

As for Poulsen, same type of thing happened with Rijkaard and Völler. It has very little to do with nationalities.

Pado, Zidane's punishment was purely for show anyway - he's retired.

Exactly why FIFA should have made an example and handed a 7 match ban. Hell it could have been 30 and it would not matter to Zidane or France, The key is to show that FIFA is serious about violent conduct.

He's substantially misrepresented your post Bozi, but try to hold off the insults, okay? He's been warned over that daft third post.
no worries mate, i was just home after my 3rd 12 and a half hour night shift and was pretty ratty with his comments, just was a bit bemused by it all. will back off though :pint:

Zidane has inspired me, and I'm not talking about the most recent in his long line of head-butt assaults, I'm talking about the way he has led his life and the results that have followed.

So, I'm going to try this: From this day forward, I will never speak above an inaudible whisper. I will look straight at the ground when talking to people and pretend that I am deathly afraid of everybody (abused puppy syndrome). Then I will beat the crap of anybody who angers me, and when it comes time to face a possible punishment I will proudly whisper, "I will work with the children".

This is my plan. See you all in 2022 for my cannonization in Rome (or Zurich if I really follow Zidane).

That should put a new spin on your career. I hope the judge doesn't brandish a red card for your conduct.

De Rossi got banned early in the tournament, his suspension was going to affect his participation in the tournament. But when you get sent off in the final, it hardly matters how many qualifiers you have to skip, could as well be 20. Meanwhile he retired so it makes no difference.

Would things have gone the same way they did now?
Probably not because FIFA is an utterly corrupt organisation and Materazzi is a well-known jackass. But it has nothing, absolutely nothing, to do with Materazzi being Italian. Enough with the paranoia already. There's a word for people who think everyone is conspiring against them, and it ain't "perceptive"

No, he wouldn't. Zidane is getting special treatment, both at home and in Zurich.

But tell me this, could Montero get away with the hand of god? Would the public opinion accept it like they accept Maradona?

Erik, I'm not even Italian so obviously I can't think FIFA is conspiring against me. What I do notice however is that the public here in Belgium would have wanted a six month ban had an Italian done the same. Why? Because they're "these fucking playboys". That might not be the case in the Netherlands, but it most definitely is here.

I'm confused. FIFA officials in Belgium or just people in Belgium? If it is the latter, how does that illustrate FIFA's Italian bias?
