C'mon my brothers & sister (Fabiana), this will be the most exciting season in years. 10 years ago, there were 7 clubs that had a legitimate shot at winning Serie A, but over the past several seasons there have only been Juve and Milan. Italy had become like every other league - boring and predictable. Yes, it can be boring winning every match and watching Milan do the same.

Now, we are in a deep hole, where every single match will be crucial. We will have to play out of our heads just to catch up to Vicenza, Napoli, Piacenza, Mantova and the likes. At the end of a long, difficult road, we can achieve a promotion that will be sweeter than any Scudetto we have ever won (bar the 2002 miracle).

This is going to be some fun shit, so let us enjoy the hell out of it, and let those glory hunters from Inter, Roma, Empoli, and Lecce piss off. We are bottom of the table in Serie B and we love the fuck out of our club!

Interesting fact here : if you add up the scudetti won by all the teams that will participate to the upcoming serie B tournament, you get 50. That is 8 more than when you add up all the scudetti amassed by the serie A clubs.

In details :

Juve 27 + Genoa 9 + Bologna 7 + Napoli, Fiorentina and Lazio 2 + Verona 1 = 50

VS

Milan 17 + Inter 13 + Torino 7 + Roma 3 + Cagliari and Samp 1 = 42
Someone told me the other day Napoli are in C? Is that true?

interesting fact. SerieB will be more interesting than A this year. Juve-Napoli, Bologna-Lazio, Fiorentina-Genoa,... these would all be big matches in A. Lazio-Verona should be interesting too. Verona are known as extremist right-wing tifosi, no?

Btw, Di Canio left Lazio for a small Roman club somewhere, in SerieD I think. His problems with Lotito never got sorted out. Too bad for SerieB.

Moggi should buy a sattelite dish for every Juve fan, and fix some channel to broadcast Juve's games in B.

That's the least he could do.

This is a legitimate fear, but you know that in past years Rai International has gone from showing Serie B every saturday to sporadic B coverage to no B coverage and back to half-assed decent coverage.

I have to think (and hope) that with Juve (especially), Napoli, Fiorentina, Lazio & Genoa all in B that Rai will recogonize the potential viewership numbers and have to broadcast Serie B every week. We wont see 36 matches like last season, but maybe 20. However, I think we can forget about B coverage on Gol TV.

hehe nice fact
espn should transmit serie b, or some1 plz transmit all the games, serie b is gonna b so much fun bcuz fiore lazio and juve have to clear their names and they're obligated to have the season of their lives, specially juve. Instead serie a will go to inter or milan, how pathetic they r. Inter had to wait until juve was out and milan had to get help from silvio once again to stay in srie a
