I don't see how it would be considered basic knowledge. I have absolutely no idea of how American sports are covered in Belgium, but soccer gets very little coverage in this country with the exception of during the World Cup. After which, it goes back to being neglected by most, but with more people interested than before. It's getting better, but there's still a long way to go. But because of this, all the casual person on the street will most likely know about is the World Cup. Goddamn college sports get more coverage than our own domestic league, it's really frustrating.

The World Cup does I said, but that's it. Or the media puts out what people will consume because it'll make them money, that being football, basketball, and baseball. You grew up around it, we did not. We are older than MLS, it's still a growing sport here. People seem to forget that. There's really no need to take such an elitist standpoint on this because we know about something that other people don't.

I still have a hard time understanding why all three had to get killed. Obviously when your friend is shot dead and the guy has an AR-15, you'd get the hell out of the place. But you're not given the chance where everything is so easily considered self-defense and is justified and the guy is probably now a hero for doing what he did. It's such a screwed up mindset which shows itself in the more serious problems in the US; like when police feels comfortable shooting +10 bullets at a person who's running away from them when shooting once or twice at legs would suffice.

Sorry but that is some ridiculous reasoning and only shows the person has never been in any situation remotely reassembling what's being discussed, any person entering the sanctity of another's house waives their right to be given the benefit of the doubt and walk out alive, you just don't take chances to either protect yourself or your loved ones. Also because of adrenaline you just don't know how much you could debilitate through injury, not only that but you will only piss them off even more, that why you shoot to kill.

From what I've heard, shooing at the legs is not a good idea. First of all, aiming right is much harder than it looks. Especially if it's a moving target. Torso is what ou want to go for. The biggest target and it's also more stationary compared to the legs of someone who's running.

It's not being completely self obsessed. And let's be real, I bet you can find people one asia and Africa who don't give a shit about soccer/football. It's predominantly European and South American. Plus I know of people who don't watch or follow any sports at all. Like AFL said, you're just being elitist. It's people kicking a ball, not everyone has to care or know about it.

You never shoot the limbs or to injure. Thats a falsehood created by movies. If you ever shoot at someone you fire center mass and repeatedly.

If youre not willing to kill a person then you shouldnt point a gun at them in the first place. And thats not an america thing, no serious police or armed forces in the world would tell you to shoot someone in the legs. Maybe if youre elitr trained special forces otherwise Its silly.
