Then (a large part of) the media would have a field day.
But it probably wouldn't be justified, if what the co-pilot did was due to religious reasons, I'm pretty sure we'd already know.

Here's a curve ball I'd like the media to play: What if the pilot was Muslim, had no connection to any radical organizations and there was not an iota of evidence proving he was radicalized, but his act was as a result of depression?
There is a shiny ECB on his way to Düsseldorf which is destroying our currency. Yet he decides to contaminate a beautiful countryside rather than crashing into Mario Draghi's $#@!face.
Actually they often don't. But if you're driving through the poorest regions of the world with a McLaren, a Ferrari, a Lambo and a camera crew, you kind of get noticed.

You're acting all self righteous because you think muslims are ostracized, but at the same time you're forgetting that this sort of reporting actually comes down very hard on people with depression. As if we should lock them up and keep them far away from society, so they can do no harm.
This is not really the time to whine about unfavourable journalism towards muslims, man.

Like FIFA care about morals. Oligarch dollar makes them spread their vagoo for Tsar Vladimir even if he'll have stolen half of the Baltic states by 2018.
On the other hand American politicians need to STFU. As if they were in the position to condemn other countries for being warlords
