As far as I know he'd be judged as an young adult. That way he'd still get 3-6 years, though (for a murder).

Yes, because he is legally not able to consent due to being underage. That is why it is statutory rape. Whether or not this woman should have been prosecuted and punished in this way is a whole other matter. Personally I think this judge deserves to die and the world would be better off without her, but that's just me.

That's the thing with all statutory rape cases. The argument is that being underage, the teenagers are not fully aware of their actions and an adult having sex with them is therefore considered taking advantage of their immature decision making. It makes sense in general, the question is more of where to draw the line. It's pretty clear to everyone that were the boy not 15, but 12 years old there would be no question about the guilt of the teacher. I'd defenitely take a close look at the age boundaries, but in general the law makes sense in my opinoin.

I agree. He's gonna be the alpha male in his school, young girls are gonna chase him for just that that sole reason.

However, imagine it was a different case. Imagine if the teacher was male and student female. The drama would be on a whole scale bigger. Is that wrong?

Of course, there needs to be justice between genders. A 15yo lad should be allowed to fuck a MILF just as much as a teen wh0re should be allowed to sell her body for good grades. Arguing about the specific parameters is certainly of order, but the principle makes sense. In my opinion in such a case it's really important to examine to what extent the relationship was due to the initiative of the minor or the teacher, and whether any pressure was excerted on the student. Add to that a psychological report on the level of maturity of the student, which especially at that age can vary massively.

In a mutually approved relationship of the two I personally wouldn't sentence the teacher to jail, at least not defenitely. Perhaps a few months probation/parole (not sure which of those two is the correct english term right now - or are they interchangable?).

The gender or attractiveness of the perpetrator should absolutely not have any influence on the verdict.

the other element here is the fact she is a teacher, person of authority over the teen, i think thats the main reason why she got a harsh sentence, but all this is BS imo
