I'm not a fan, but people do mix feminism with "extremistic" women (don't know what to call the latter :D).
I am in the sense of women advocating for themselves. Gaining suffrage, land ownership, the right to work, equal pay are good things that came forth from feminist ideology.

I think people have this view of a feminist being an uber-manhating, hypocrite, bull dyke. (thanks Rachel Maddow) But that's not the entire story.

but that too is not the entire story, as we can all see this current state of affairs in nothing even close to equality. watch the whole video when you got time :)

Feminists make me sick. Especially (well mainly) in a country like Australia. I'm not exactly quite sure what they want when they pretty much have more rights than men.

Saw a feminist rally in the city a couple of weeks ago. Simultaneously laughed and facepalmed.

Agree, but in Denmark feminism is outdated.

It's no more of a problem than the cult of "individual responsibility" or libertarianism.

You perceive it as a greater threat because you have women issues.

That's not ad hominem.

I have have similar issues. Built around trust, but I come from a highly female family so it bothers my personal opinion less.

how is it not ad hominem? what relevance is the interlocutor to the value of the argument here? you have no idea what issues i have or dont, it's quite the leap of faith to make any judgement as far as that is concerned

I thought I read you like a book. Perhaps I'm wrong. Apologies if you're offended.

I just assumed because you'd have underlying reasons for opposing something so strongly, using language like "one of the main reasons behind the unraveling of western societies" and speak of it "shifting our genetic pool".

Let's not generalize here. I feel women have a right to advocate for themselves (feminism if you want to call it that). Do I think they have a right to trash others in the name of feminism or for whatever reason? Of course not. Do I think it's extremely hypocritical to hide behind gender while at the same time claiming equality? Sure. I've been shit on be women in the workplace and in relationships as much as any guy.

However, I can't see how feminist ideals are more of a danger to the western world than white entitlement or western entitlement for that matter.

as i pointed out the ideals might seem benign at first sight but their application and practical interpretation are disastrous, the results of which are a generation of repressed emasculated men and the emergence of douche bags and psychos at the top of the testosterone totem pole. Not to mention the devastating effects of the ubiquity of single mothers both as a burden on society and on the children in these homes.
