What's this then? I'll just quote mikhail since he put it so nicely:

"We're testing a new system to automate handling of warnings for breaking the rules. He's gotten a warning for being the latest member to abuse Juve staff.

Basically the system adds up these warnings and suspends persistant offenders. It also automates the warnings and documents the whole thing - makes the mods' jobs a bit easier."

If you follow our Rules you have nothing to worry about, which of course is the whole reason of this warnings system, we want to make Juventuz a nicer place to stay.

So what are those funky yellow/red cards?

  • If a user has 0 warnings nothing will show
  • If a user has more than 0 warnings and less than 10 warning points, it will show a yellow card.
  • If a user has more than 0 warnings and more than 10 warning points (temp or perm banned), it will show a red card.

You get more info about the warnings, such as number of warnings, total warning points and number of times banned when you hover the card.

So what do you get warned for?

Minor offenses: 2 warning points:

  • Write in CAPITAL LETTERS.
  • Post in any language other than English.
  • Double post.
  • Open a new thread just to ask a question or just to post a new article, use the search function first, it might get your answer first and keep the forums tidier.
  • Derail threads where there is serious discussion going on.

Serious enough - 4 warning points.

  • Use foul and abusive language.
  • Insult other members, Juventus players and staff
  • Post full nudity pictures/videos, or other pictures/videos that could offend
  • Trolling or fighting.

Automatic ban - 10 warning points.

  • Advertise or spam.

When you reach 10 warning points you're temporarily banned. If you get temp. banned 3 times, you're perm. banned.

hm, getting 10p is not hard if you look the rules

DO NOT!
Post in any language other than English.
Use foul and abusive language.
Use a signature larger than 4 lines of standard text.
Insult other members, Juventus players and staff: this one is gona be hard to follow, so no "he was crap today" or capello really is a crap posts. Post full nudity pictures/videos, or other pictures/videos that could offend
Advertise or spam.
Write in CAPITAL LETTERS.
Double post.:this can happen sometimes even if member has no intenion, when a lot of members are online, so...
Ask to be a moderator.
Pretend to be a moderator, or act as though you are a moderator.(this was for snoop?:D
Revive dead topics, if a thread is several months old there is no good reason to drag it back up.
Say anything if you have nothing to say. can happen as well :D
Open a new thread just to ask a question or just to post a new article, use the search function first, it might get your answer first and keep the forums tidier.
Derail threads where there is serious discussion going on. can happenPost live match updates in the match thread, there is a special thread for that.

so waiting for a banning period in this forum, cheers :D

You're suggesting the level should be increased so people can abuse our rules more before getting banned? ;)

no, what i mean is that even members who doesnt abuse rules can get those points. as i said touble post, this happens, usually in the live match period or just after it when lot of members are online so the forum is a bit slow. and it can happen 5 times in a year or less period, 5x2=10 points.

btw touble post, if user has made one and then delete the second post, he will not get warning point? or the system automatically memorise it?

Are we gonna have a Color System, similar to US Terrorist Alert?

Attention... Attention... Snoop just had another baby. Alert has been elevated from Orange to Red!

The system isn't automatic, mods hand out the warnings.

Do the warnings go away after a long period of "peacefull" time?
Yeah. I suggested 30 days, but I haven't checked to see what we went with yet.

Guys who are worrying about accumulating meaningless points, don't worry. The mods will continue to exercise their own discression, so an accidental double post isn't likely to actually pick up a warning - persistantly doing it certainly will. The way warnings expire will mean that that kind of thing won't bother most users anyway.

This is a good move actually, so that people will be aware of their language when talking about players and such, especially in match threads, where tempers run high.

Good job in introducing this system

BTW, on another note, after all this jumbalaya, Nike is happy in designing the new stripeless jersey. Maybe it is Nike who is doing all this just to direct the attention somewhere else
according to www.dictionary.com, "No entry found for jumbalaya."
