And people wonder why EPL shits money

Tune in to a Sky covered PL game watch the glorious HD video packages, and presentation it gets.

Watch even a large Juve game in a foriegn country, you get one quiet creepy sounding commentator whispering into his microphone with shit coverage and some American at half time raping the players names with bad pronunciation

If you were new to football, and you watched United - City on Sky Sports then Juve - Whoever on some shit network you would assume we were in a lower league with the standard of presentation. It's embarrassing.

Exactly, our logo shits all over them. Yet show anybody who's ever used a computer in any country those logos and they will know what the fuck it means.
Italy as a country has far more culture and history. Perhaps they should work on that angle, while also trying to promote the proud history of Calcio in Italy. The difference between Italy's and England's accomplishments on the global stage is astounding, even though the English like to think they invented modern football. If the Italians focused on infrastructure and modernization as opposed to finger wagging, conspiracy theories, and constant internal bickering, Serie A would get a much better end product.

That's true, but we have partly the infrastructure to blame, boy did artemio franchi look so dull and dim. Serie A needs better lighting, amongst many things. It's depressing.

Really?!
Juventus has paid € 200K for the design of the new logo !!!
i don't know where this amount comes from, but i'm pretty sure the logo itself is just an element of the whole new corporate image.

better lightning, nicer grass, new stadiums without the running track, etc. basically serie a would need another 19 juventus level clubs.

Damn right it does, personally living in England I still dislike many things about it. But unfortunately outside of Italy the theme of culture and history is pretty much irrelevant compared to modernisation in terms of how the games are presented, the hype generated etc. We need to ditch the old Italian ways otherwise we'll be limited in what we achieve. Thanks to the rest of the fucking losers in this league, from the FIGC down to the individual clubs nobody gives two shits about Serie A compared to the competition. We're in limbo between leagues like the Portugese and French league and the PL and La Liga in the eyes of many. It's only going to get worse, soon championship sides will make more than the likes of Fiorentina at this rate.

But it does look alright, some people like it, some people don't. Would you say Google's or Mcdonalds logo looks awesome? Does it look like it's a beautifully crafted piece of art or does it simply get the job done.

The more you add to the logo, the more complex it becomes the more it defeats the point.

People who don't like this logo, probably don't like any similar minimalist logos. But at the end of the day you can't have both. You either have a really personalised, complex logo with 20 different things going on that appeals to nobody outside of the current fanbase, or you can attempt to create a recognisable brand. Pick one.
It's obvious that the majority of people hate it and I am one of them, but we got no choice. It's not like I don't like mini logos, they are ok and understandable. But I'd prefer just a simple "J" and not something like it is now, cuz everytime I take a look at that new badge it's associating with something else which is japanese culture or terrorism related logos. I'd like Juve to come to my mind first, not asking too much, do I? As some people said it looks like we're customers and not fans. Forza Juve till the end anyways.

Serie A presentation reminds me of a 14 year old with average powerpoint skills presenting something in class. Sky makes PL and La Liga games look important as fuck. It has such a big feel to it. Serie A looks embarrassing.

In their defence especially the mid level clubs, you need money to do that. Just someone from outside to put in an investment. A loan is risky, we've seen too many fiorentina parmas etc to realize well Italy isn't the best place to invest.

san siro is awesome. i've been there in '06, watched inter-samp, and quite liked it. still, it's quite an old and dated stadium, it even was 10 years ago, and it's too big for those teams. it gets sold out like 2-3 times a year, i guess it should be smaller, more intimate.

the new friuli looks great, i hope to pay a visit asap. (it's the closest serie a venue for me.)

I think language plays a part.

English is a very widely spoken language so foreigners watching sky would get it. Non Italian speaking fans, who watch local league channel such as sky italia won't enjoy or understand shit. Then you get channels like BT sport for us brits which just isn't there in terms of its coverage. I mean don't get me wrong they're doing a good job but it's a foreign league so who gives a shit right.

The problem is that our simplicity sucks. If it looked allright everybody wouldnt not say a word, but unfortunately it's not like that.
Why does our simplicity suck? How would alright looking simplistic Juve logo look like?

Most common argument against it that I've seen people use on different sites is that it doesn't fit into their view on how a football teams logo should look like. In other words it doesn't remind anything that a football team has used before for this purpose.

Nah we are quite bit behind and even if we doing well trying to get closer it's more likely they will widen the gap rather then us closing in let alone surpassing.

Barca and Real are insane marketing machines that's unbeatable, and EPL doesn't matter how much they fail, they will continue to $#@! pounds. Their total salary is double that of Serie A, whos closest league on that regard. This figure will continue to go up and not down in Juves favour.
The new EPL TV deal will automatically increase the offer for Serie A TV rights. This season the difference between tv deals of both leagues is big because Serie A is still under the old deal. I think it expires with the end of this season or max the following one.

Why I think the offer will automatically get bigger? Because BPL and Serie A are substitutes. We can compare it to natural resources like oil and gas. Whenever oil prices go up, the same happens with gas. In an appropriate proportion of course. #tuZnomic
