I also don't understand the "football fans" here who are ashamed of football jerseys and football badges, what the fuck is wrong with you people? sure, don't go to the office in your Juve jersey, but don't you play footie or go to football matches? i hope no one here plays football in a ralph lauren polo shirt. besides it is possible to make t-shirts or other casual clothes with current Juve badge that you can wear to beach or wherever, you don't have to turn Juventus badge into a logo for that

Yankees, Cowboys move merch not because their logo is slick but because of what it stands for, winning. Same with football real madrid sell the most merch because they're the champs. What we lose is the most important asset, and that is identity, the same identity that made fans follow juve even when they were relegated, instead of being primarily a football club all we are now is a potential sales item at H&M
commercially, man.utd is the most successful club with 363m€, and that's because they're fancy. they upped their commercial revenue last year by an unbelievable 100m euros in a year when they didn't win shit.

100m of rise in revenue, that's like fiorentina's or lazio's whole budget. (ok, i'm exaggerating a bit, they might make around 120m.)

juventus will still remain the biggest italian club, so imo club identity should remain intact.

Lol that's what I'm saying, i don't need a lifestyle just a fucking functioning midfield
that's something i can fully agree with.

btw from this point of view, we don't need an identity either, just a working midfield.

Of course the club has nothing to lose, no one is gonna stop supporting it just because of a rebranding. Hell we didn't lose anyone in 2006 (except Ian maybe), we can survive anything.
We lost ALOT in 2006, plenty of casual or otherwise fans, our reputation, brand and due to that insane amount of financial power.

What's most worrisome about 2006 is that we are a decade later and there is still no real tangible evidence we ever did anything wrong. They probably literally sat at a table and decided to throw us out. Which means that, Italy being the retarded country that it can be, it can happen all over again.

If a club loses it's identity by changing a badge that identity wasn't strong to start with. I think people are letting their fears, insecurities and prejudices cloud their reasoning. I get that change and doing something different might feel odd or alien at first but if we never try new things there is no way we can evolve. If anything we are trying make our identity stronger and get more people familiar with the values and traditions this club prides itself on. Our identity, history and objectives will all be just fine.

if people again start talking about refs being biased to one or another team it might happen again, it doesn't have to be true, it's enough if it seems possible, after all they are all rivals that hate us 2 times more whenever we win a scudetto

we didn't just change the badge, we gave up football badges altogether and decided to go forward with a logo, it makes us look like we are a business that also contains a football club while it should be the other way around

People are over thinking this. We are not losing our identity. Our identity is not in the old crest, the bull, the zebra or the crown it is in the black and white stripes and as long as we have them then we have our identity!

The history, the titles, the class and the name Juventus is still here and always will be. The old crest is not going to vanish into thin air once the new one comes into play. Expect to still see it around our stadium on match days and on the millions of merchandise that has already been produced.

Losing identity because we ditched a typical football emblem that was around only for 13 years :sergio:. The only connection between that emblem and the club was the Juventus sign on it and black & white colors.

we are probably the only football club without a badge, I'd say that we have lost some of the identity
Why is it so important to be like every other football club? We have done something unique and it wont be long before other clubs follow. Im proud of what we have done here. This is a special moment for the club moving forward in a postitive and innovative direction.

it's important to be like a football club because we are a football club. not sure other clubs will follow

I don't know. I kind of want a football club to just be a football club tbh.

It's obviously quite a bit more than that. The way it was presented illustrates that fact.
