Early 50s is something and in the 40 years old is something else. I am 42 and I like the new logo but I am not Italian. Now imagine I were Italian, the same age and by coincidence a Juve supporter season ticket holder, I would immediately flush the ticket down the toilet.

You ignore the fact that while it may be great for future young kids, the average 40 + year Italian supporter will be very disappointed. They are the core of the club. There is a lot of people that will feel disrespected, and the fan base is the most important asset of any football club.

If you don't think there are risks involved in this move - that is very bold, indeed - and that there isn't another view that should be considered and respected, you are as ignorant as those you refer to.

This could be a genious coup or a huge embarassment that could end in 2 years, really.

The only think it isn't is an inevitable development as you imply, which isn't hard to understand when this is the most important/revolutionary rebranding in the history of football, and possibly of sport.

It is an opinion - a prediction - that those guys will be disappointed. I'm just exposing my point of view. I'm thinking about my father.

But there's some data already. If you browse the internet, specially the Italian websites - vecchiasignora - you will see divided opinions, but a there is a slight majority of people really disappointed by this. A lot of negative comments.

It may do, I don't think it's unlikely that they will increase commerce at some level.

The main point to me is that this is a relevant modification, and that supporters/associates should have a say about it before it happened. It was kind of brutally imposed, and some may feel disrespected about it. It's a bigger change than it seems imo. It's very meaningful, at least to me.

In the last 2 days I have shown the logo to 4 different people who literally know nothing about football and they all loved it, thought it looked stylish and would wear clothing that had it on. Only small mined football heads are gonna hate on this. You know the type. Our club is moving forward in a positive and innotive way please stop with the traditional, loyalty, history bullshit over a crest that has been changed over decade for nearly a hundred years. Before we even had our old crest our jerseys had just a simple J as a crest for fucksake there is your tradition deal with it.

If the intent is expanding the appeal to people who don't care about football, they could produce and commercialize it anyways without replacing the emblem, as a secondary brand. After all, these people don't give a shit if Juventus use it as their main symbol or not.

I have said before that i would of prefered if this was just a logo we use on our merchandise like we have been doing the last few years with a similar J and we kept our crest on our jersey but i understand now why we are putting it on our jerseys too. Its such a bold statement and a risky move by our club.

Someone likend it to when Gianni Agnelli wore his watch over his cuff and i love that comparision..

Can be used for marketing in different ways. First thing that came to my mind, the J hotels around the world.

As for the logo and changing it.. what makes Juventus.. is its tradition and values..not the logo.. keep winning and people will forget about it and will accept it..

I was wondering before why the logos of football clubs should be of animals or so. Why it's not a simple one that when I buy a t-shirt, suit, etc. I can wear it in the normal occasions.
I could not imagine myself wearing a suit to work with the old Juve logo.. it would not be the right thing.. now I would wear it and no one will make any funny comment about it.
I see lots of people buying more of J clothes..

When I first seen the logo I didn't see two Js I seen one thick black J with a white stripe through it like our jerseys.

After a few games everyone will be used to it. I remember everyone freaking out when we changed it the last time too yet for the last 13 years it felt normal now people are pissed we are changing it again even though everyone used to hate it.

Vecchia signora is the worst group to ask. These are people like badass who will wear jerseys all time. No offence but the other 90% of juve fans probably cant.
People at 30(me), 40(jack), 50(salvo's dad) dont play football and wear other stuff. Jack wears specialised runner clothes, i wear cotton based clothing from our sponser.
Not really spending 70 bucks on a jersey or training shirt that i cant use for front squats cause cant chalk it, will tear eventually during back squats, will tear between my buckle belt during deadlifting.


But i like juve stuff. I have a juve cotton shirt, but itis has the original logo on and juventus in white on white.
I wore it to school.

My dad loves it and he is a 40 plus Sicilian man, then again he has seen quite a few logo changes. What was interesting is that he noticed most of the details straight away, the half scudetto for example. Look how much people are talking about Juve right now, there's a mystery about it. Curiosity.

Exactly, I mentioned the Agnelli watch thing a while back, be bold, you have to run with it now. Andrea said when I came juventus was forced to change but now we choose to change and it should be like that.
