Let’s imagine that Juventus and Milan (or only Juve) are demoted to lower division. It will crush the whole Italian football and first of all ‘smaller’ clubs. Status of Serie A will immediately decrease. Star players will go abroad, as no club in Italy can pay their wages. Also there would be no point for Inter or other rich clubs to pay huge salaries just to beat Ascoli or Chievo, as there wouldn’t be real rivals. Such players as Zambrotta, Vieira, Ibrahimovic, Trezeguet, Emerson, Mutu, Del Piero, Buffon (also Milan stars Sheva, Gila, Seedorf, Kaka etc) will leave Italy. Serie A will become smth like Dutch or French championship. This would crush Italian football, because interest toward it will drop immediately, decreasing amount of money circulating in the game (such as TV rights, transfer fees, sponsorship deals). This could result also in economic drop. So there is no point to demote such great club as Juve, which is also a huge financial and economical institution. I’m sure that those, who will make a final decision on these subjects will take this idea into consideration. Milan had been demoted in early 80’s, but the game significantly changed from that times and demotion of Juve will mean havoc for calcio.

You have a sound point, but I think there should be a punishment even if it were at the sake of relegating teams. Getting away with such scandals will just be repeated if it goes away with serious penalties.

this sounds pretty far fetched, but if we do get demoted,a lot of players might want to move to some other top flight teams.cant we just put the players who want to leave on loan and bring them back when we go back into serie A?our bench can handle the lower divisons imo.

Moggi will be investigated on Monday. Juventini want to believe that Rubentus has done no crime but facts point otherwise. Pick up any Italian paper and see that judges in Napoli have over 10,000 pages of phone transcripts where Rubentus will face serious charges. What your club will be dealing with will shake calcio to its core but it needs to be done.

BTW, don't think that all members of your board of directors would have resigned if they were clean. They have been playing dirty for years and now they will pay for it. Hopefully, the Agnelli famly will find some resectful replacements for those scumbags that many of you praised.

FORZA ROMA SEMPRE!

you know, part of me believes that we should be punish if we are find guilty, but the other half wishes that we could get away of this with no penalty just to see the fans of other teams die in madness

Guess it's true that it never rains but pours.Check out the truckload of s*!#@ that has fallen over us in the outgoing week?No doubt this is more bark than bite, but it would be nigh impossible for us to emerge from this episode unscathed(the board already resigned yesterday!)
I will not jump into xter judgments until the details are out(I hear Moggi's got a hearing on Monday ),but I do not believe that the secret of our greatness is Moggi's filofax.Yes,referees might have been sympathetic 2 our cause, but that's a global phenomenon;THE OLD BOY NETWORK,borne out of longevity/staying power and which operates in other Euro leagues.
Let's wait till we get d full picture b4 we start d guillotining,For now,all that should matter 2 us is "NO. 29"

With the way we played this season, not even our first team could handle the lower teams. If capello is still at the helm then consider a boogey season where we will qualify but it will be one of those "just abouts" scenarios.

If the stories are true, then yes, you do have a point.

Except for that "Forza Roma" bullshit, I cannot agree with that. :D
