Very true, but that's just cause Juve is Milans main rival for the Scudetto. If for instance Inter would be competing for the Scudetto :)D even writing that made me laugh) against Milan, then the media would become anti-Inter. Highlighting every mistake that was in favor for Inter, but still hiding every one that was in favour for Milan.
That's what I meant with pro-milan, they're not anti-juve per se.
You'll laugh now (a lot), but before may 5th, media had the courage to say that Udinese got safe in the match before the last so that they wouldn't have motivations against Juve, implying that we had paid refs to favour Udinese, so that they could win.

In this case is not so much about Milan, it's just an editorial choice: a little less than half of Italian supporters are juventini, the rest is anti-juventino (because in Italy you are either Juventino or anti-Juventino) or doesn't care. Tvs are mostly in Rome or Milan, with roman or milanese journalists, who also write in Milan and Rome based papers. They have a part to play.

Not really. If you had seen Viva Zapatero (movie about Italian press) you would say otherwise. Did you know that according to UN reports Italy is only a 'semi-free' country? There are so many lines between press and politics that the articles are never brought in a objective way.

You don't think that publication of this story, ten days before an expected Scudetto but eight months after the case was closed - that timing surely must be coincidental.
I have seen Viva Zapatero ;). I don't buy this shit about Berlusconi and football though. Come on, honestly.

No, it's true. A country that has media with such power and where some people pay and some don't, it's not normal.
As far as I know we were equiparated to Botswana as press freedom by some research.

EDIT: No offence to Botswana, but it's still 79th place.

Italian media are anything but anti-Juventus. Quite honestly that's the most ridiculous statement I've heard regarding this issue.

Moggi saluta la squadra
11 05 2006

are there any chances we play in serieB with these shit?
I don't think so. Nothing has been proven.
But imagine:
Juve in B (or C1, C2)
Mediaset that has paid Juventus hundreds of million Euros for the Tv rights of a lower division and Sky that has paid Mediaset for them.
14 millions Juventini shifting their interest to Serie B.

What would happen to Serie A?

Hint:

I was wondering about the exact same thing with some of my friends. Serie A losing Juventus would in fact be an indirect disaster for all other clubs.

there is always a conflict of interests if juve go down to serie B...this case isnt abt integerity o honesty and not only holds the interests of juventus.

some interests of big coroporations in the world will be harmed here, so there will be some influence from them here.

so basically i dont think that juve will ever get demoted

I live in Italy, I watch Italian television, I read Italian papers.
It's years that it's like this.

But if they weren't anti-Juventus, would have they gone against the constitution (and art 270 of the penal code) to print some interceptions? Would have they printed it only in a way the reader could understand the opposite of what was written?
And why now?

And why would they be pro-juventus? They surely aren't paid by Juventini. The only exception is Tuttosport that, surprise surprise, is Turin based and has almost only Juventini/torinisti as readers.
If Turin was still the industrial city it was 30 years ago and had the same power, many newspapers would be ready to kiss our a$$es.

Please, please, let everything go smoothly this afternoon. No staff removal, it could be the end.

Oh ffs. Juventus is the biggest Italian club, of course they're an easy victim. Who do you think has the word "scandal" surrounding them all the time in Belgium? That's right, Anderlecht. Things like that simply come with being the biggest club.

As for that violation of article 270, don't you think that would have happened if it was Milan as well?

well, the situation in my country even worse. the media translated the news from italian or english then added some personal point of view that made everyone accusing juve cheated in most of matches they played, and at most of time these media acted just like an official press of milan. 9 out of 10 football fans are supporters of milan & inter. u are fortunate that at least half of the country are on your side.

I would not say the word scandal surrounds anderlecht. Yes they do get a lot of media attention and most of it is negative, but it's always about internal problems between players and staff. Not criminal charges and such.

PS Moggi wasn't responsible for those match fixes, it was Zhe Yun Ye:p

It'd feel like doing the commentary of a jackal on his prey, where the prey is Juve or, in this case, Moggi.
No respect for the person and his/their feelings, just a lot of assuming. "Did you know that Moggi controlled refs?" WHERE? How can you ask something like that?

Who knows, I'll maybe translate it in the next few days.
Cheers :pint:

I would apreciate if you sumarize it, don't translate it word by word, It doesn't seem that important :)
