Too early..but at this point all I would say is..

make room for Costacurta or Ferrara.
Nick, I couldn't help but notice that you've been extremely diplomatic about the Ferrara/Costacurta situation since that debate so long ago :)

Dude, didnt you people get it??? It's all the same formation. The first pic is the formation in general, the second shows where the players would be placed in defence and the third where they would be placed in attack.

IT'S ALL THE SAME FORMATION!!!

Apparently, you're the one who didn't get it :) I just thought it was hilarious that deej thought it was a seperate formation. Anyone who's not an idiot can see that it's the same tactic at different stages of the game.

Take it dooown a notch ;)

Zlatan, just wondering..

Let's say Nesta is busy taking the ball up to midfield; he gives it to Gattuso, and Gattuso gets tackled straight away and the other team makes a break

What's supposed to happen then?

It's a risk that I'd be prepared to take. But thats not the formations fault. Even in a 4-4-2 or a 5-4-1 if a player makes a blatant misstake nothing can be done. Nest would just have to give the ball to Gatusso, who would provide it to Pirlo. After that they should be safe.

P.S. I already said it would be somewhat vunerable to counterattcks,

That's easy enough to say from the comfort of your bedroom in Sarajevo, but I don't think it's quite as relaxed in the Azzuri camp

Actually it's not that comfortable, this chair is killing me :D ;)

No mate seriously, every formation has it's risks, some smaller some bigger. It's all up to the coach if he's willing to risk in order to win... Maybe it would have been better if Trap had taken more risks in the WC, maybe it would have been worse. We'll never know. You risk, you win some, you lose some... but I personaly think it could work, the players are fast enough to switch back to defence in time, so only teams with really really good counterattacks could make something out of it, most teams couldnt.

oh no Oded, this is Z here, he knows everything
But of course I do...

Seriously tho, of course not everyone is going to like it (maybe because there arent many Juve players... Only Buffon and Zambrotta), but I think it could work... I like it, but everyone has their own vision of the team and how it should play.

great, so here is my try:

------------------Vieri------------------Del Piero-----------------

------------------------------Totti----------------------------------

-----------Fiore-----------------------Camoranesi---------------

-------------------------Tacchinardi--------------------------------

-----Zambrotta-------Nesta-----------Cannavaro----Oddi---

----------------------------Buffon-----------------------------------

I know Incubo, I have too many Juventinis in the team. what can I do, I'm not completely objective about this subject. I think this is a good team.
But you can't say the Juventinis aren't good players. I don't see a lot of better options in their positions.

Yeah but no offense..but look at them. One is being pushed into retirment. The other has signed for an extra year. Oh yeah..and one is OLDER than the other being 'politely asked to retire.'
But..no offense.

More over, I realized Ferrara is not as much as a heap of junk as I thought...but he is still not fit to lick Billy's 4 Euros and Five scudettis. (Yes yes Ciro has six!)

:fero:
