After spending most of my life in the US I never thought I would think of leaving but even as a citizen this is not safe anymore and I want no part of it. So my family and I just started making plans to leave for Brazil this year and stay there for the next few years. We can both work remotely and we can always come back if things get better.

As far as I know, even the Nazis didn't sell merch of their various camps. They just stole the wealth of all the people they put in there. That's due to social media overdrive consumerism and pressure to have all the clothes, get cars on finance, nice place to rent. More people are just breaking even each month. And of course, cost of everything is going up.
