trump is getting shit done:

he's only being transactional, nothing to see here
Might be transactional, but I think this is good for Syria. The country needs any sort of stability it can get. Al-Sharaa has rebranded himself and he looks as likely as any to bring all the different factions to some sort of coalition. Sometimes you gotta deal with the devil.

When asked about accepting the Qatari plane, Trump made up a quote about how some famous golfer said never reject a free put. Of course, that golfer never said that, and in fact it's not even part of the gentleman's game. But Trump does it all the time on the course, because he's a cheater.

Fucking retards.

I respect that, you don’t really care or play golf nothing wrong with that. I appreciate your candor. I knew what he was talking about however in reference to golf.

We could be here all day if we’re going back and forth on mis-quotes with Biden.

That article attached doesn't really prove it. It’s a general understanding of a “gimme” in a casual game (Not a pro match) specially when the next group is waiting behind you. It easily could’ve been many times Trump has played casual games of golf with many legends. What’s amazing the guy at his age can still play pretty well, his putting is hilarious but it works for him.

Are you okay with him accepting a gift from a foreign government?

Little worrisome, like the Greek mythology of the trojan horse entering troy. If not, what do they expect in return? I wouldn’t get too wrapped around it, time will tell. Roughly 40 year old plane for Air Force one, don’t know why it hadn’t been upgraded or replaced by now.

that's all good but he could have asked anyone meaningful in return that benefits either syrian or murican people or international trade in return. but a trump tower in damascus? lol, this is just good old corruption

I'm encouraged that you see it that way.

I'm not sure Laura Loomer understands Article I, Section 9, Clause 8 of the U.S. Constitution. Even if she doesn't, that total whack job at least understands the moral hazard of accepting lavish gifts from what are essentially foreign agents: for the security of what is given, for the influence and expectation for which it establishes, for the role modeling of behavior for what's acceptable for everyone else who holds a governmental office.

This is exactly the sort of thing Sen. Paul Wellstone pointed out about the problematic hypocrisy of office and its slippery slope.

Of course Trump is probably illiterate but most definitely ethically autistic.

Trump could do better by buying American and ensuring only his spies can scour every inch of the plane as it's built.

The 40-year thing doesn't concern me as much, as we can't build crap that lasts anymore. Hence why the U.S. Air Force best bomber option is still the 71-year-old B-52.

It's interesting that this seems to be the tipping point for many Republicans.

Trump is done.

I’m glad you are skeptical, that is progress. I think they will have to take the plane completely apart to ensure it’s OK, so the cost will be just as much or more as buying a new plane.

If I was president, I sure as hell wouldn't let a country who funneled $1.8 billion to Hamas give me a plane to fly without inspection.
