Might be transactional, but I think this is good for Syria. The country needs any sort of stability it can get. Al-Sharaa has rebranded himself and he looks as likely as any to bring all the different factions to some sort of coalition. Sometimes you gotta deal with the devil.

It easily could’ve been many times Trump has played casual games of golf with many legends. I'm encouraged that you see it that way.

I'm not sure Laura Loomer understands Article I, Section 9, Clause 8 of the U.S. Constitution. Even if she doesn't, that total whack job at least understands the moral hazard of accepting lavish gifts from what are essentially foreign agents: for the security of what is given, for the influence and expectation for which it establishes, for the role modeling of behavior for what's acceptable for everyone else who holds a governmental office.

This is exactly the sort of thing Sen. Paul Wellstone pointed out about the problematic hypocrisy of office and its slippery slope.

I’m glad you are skeptical, that is progress. I think they will have to take the plane completely apart to ensure it’s OK, so the cost will be just as much or more as buying a new plane.
