Their mayoral choices all sucked worse than our presidential choices.
Still, it's a bit rich for a folks long screaming "fiscal responsibility" to slam a political candidate for cutting budgets. That would be like Trump cutting the IRS's budget even further, only for peeps to rail him later over the U.S. going broke when we later discover that nobody in the U.S. has paid taxes for three years.
Though she did increase the police department’s budget by $126 million while cutting the fire department’s by $17.5 million. Yet nobody is griping over her “reckless” increase in the police budget that starved the fire department.
But there's a real vibe of peeps preferring to blame the woman's skirt instead of the rapist because it gives them plausible deniability that something random catastrophe can happen to them despite doing all the "right things".

who are they? merrick garland delayed the process, not the voters. it was basically common knowledge that trump was very much involved in the 6th january events, yet his voters didn't care, just like they didn't care that trump was a rapist, a conman, a liar and was gonna break most of his campaign promises (as he already did, even though he's not even in office yet)
