Funny they haven’t called this yet. He’s way further ahead than he was last year before the late counted ballots allowed Biden to cruise past him easily in Pennsylvania and Michigan. Harris is way too far behind in those states this time. Wisconsin too. Definitely over.

If they call it, people will stop watching.

It was done and dusted a couple hours ago imo. He was outperforming 2020 in almost every county in the swing states.

Hopefully the GOP leans into what they (and by extension Trump) do best… and doesn’t go overboard on the more ridiculous stuff.

Regardless, I’m ready for a very entertaining 4 years. :lol2:

Gotta milk it for all it's got.
You once were pretty anti-Trump and then reversed course pretty hard. You explained why before so no need to explain again.

I’d like to know what you think will be most positive about the next 4 years? What will they do best? And also, what do you think the GOP under Trump will do worst, policy wise?

I think it will also have a domino effect on canada and the rest of the world. Centrists have to become centrists again. I think this is the official end of woke.

You know what... Poor people deserves to be poor, if they are so easily swindled by the most obvious conman since the monorail guy
Agreed.

It may sound callous, but if poor Americans want to fuck themselves over and vote for Trump so be it. The average American might suffer a lot the coming years, but I don't really care. You deserve what you vote for.

I see opportunities for Europe. Trump has pretty dumb ideas about the economy and perhaps this will end American domination. At the very least we'll untie ourselves from the US and I firmly believe we will build a stronger economy because of it.

I think that is the biggest factor. It all moved too far left appeasing a small minority of people thus the democrats and their equivalents in other counties have lost many of the every man voters.

I’m hoping Trudeau finally resigns and the liberals here can get back to being Canada’s centrist party and leave the identity politicking to the NDP out on the left. Hopefully before it’s too late for that change and we get stuck with Poilevre. Really not a fan of the guy. He’s a smarmy little weasel imo.

:agree:

All you have to do is look at divide between college educated and non-college educated voters. Democrats lost all their appeal to the working class in order to appease and court the votes of a loud, obnoxious minority focused on identity politics.

Nah, if you go to campuses like ASU and others a lot of the white males were wearing MAGA hats. You even saw it on the cnn coverage. It’s seemingly beyond just college divide.

I’ve voted left all my life but went for a central party partially for this reasons (and some others). The left moved more to the left than the right to the right imo.

Results in voting seem to show a global trend of people moving more to the right as a result of it
