Frankly I have no doubts they're going to replace Biden. This is over. Obviously it would always have been tough to come back after that debate, but the days after have made things exponentially worse. At this point the question is just who.

it makes total sense. what is hard to understand is why they do it as a damage control. actual people are around biden, why they couldn't foresee his catastrophic performance? he's yet to string a sentence together for a year or so

also the replacement will have a very short time to get himself (herself? lol) in a position that is strong enough to challenge trump. donald is even more likely to win it

It's going to be tricky for anyone who replaces him at this point imo. If they lose to Trump, they might as well kiss their chances of ever being president goodbye. So I expect a compromise candidate to show up, instead of someone with the best chance of winning.

I have no idea really, but at that age cognitive decline can increase dramatically from one year to the next.

For that reason alone though they should never have considered him. Neither should Trump be a realistic option at his age by the way.

It's also a pathetic stain on both parties that neither is bothering to nurture the next generation of potential party leaders. (I mean realistic ones... I don't mean Matt "Butthead" Gaetz.)

I was looking for a trip to New York, but the enthusiasm is kind of gone at this point.

I'd say I'm more positive than most. I think the more outrageous decisions from the Supreme Court will either be reversed or finetuned. The vast majority of the American people do not want a king and want to live in a stable democracy. It's the same as with abortion, in the end federal laws will be made or grow stronger, because it is impossible to stop the majority in the long run.

But yeah, couple of difficult years ahead probably.

He has vehemently opposed any form of exercise or diet during his life. A lot of what he says also points to a stark cognitive decline (I mean, electric boats and sharks, really?).

If Trump drops dead tomorrow it's hardly surprising, it's a miracle he made it to 78. So why go all in on this guy?
