I don't care who any of these people are nor do i care to know, if any official iranian channel issues any sort of threat they should be dealt with swiftly and with prejudice. Pulling out of a bad deal that gave iranian regime billions for doing nothinh to stop their program was necessary, denying so is foolish.

No doubt Biden totally goofed up the Afghanistan evacuation and for this, he deserves not to be re-elected. However, to put the record straight, it was the Trump administration that went behind the back of the then Afghan government and struck a deal with the Taliban. That’s why Taliban walked in into Kabul without a shot being fired. In fact the Taliban nor the American forces fought each other.

Coming back to Biden, the guy is just a compromised puppet - a useful idiot.

The actual evacuation could’ve been done much better though. But it’s mostly on Pentagon. Same people who fooled presidents over the years on how prepared Afghan army is fooled themselves in believing that the army would survive for at least a few months. I think same thing would’ve happened under Trump.

I read that the mission in Afghanistan was never about improving the country (army, infrastructure, education, etc.) nor fighting the taliban but it was mainly tax avoidance and money laundering for the US army. They were happy this dragged for years and they had no interest in a resolution

Nah, but they realized over a decade ago it was failing and nobody wanted to take the responsibility/ legacy tarnishment of admitting it and finally withdrawing. Both Obama and Trump chose to pass the buck
