That is changing. Slowly. But it's changing. You don't find a passive citizenry in between all these big cities having issues. IMO you are going to see a boom for small towns again and its the small towns you don't really want to have a confrontation with. When I say confrontation I mean defacing their town square, burins shit, removing shit. There might not be a fight in the big cities but there will be serious confrontations if these movements start trickling to core of the nation.
I wonder if this will turn the more progressive cities into real dumps when anyone with money nopes the fuck out of there to the suburbs.

Well, that depends. Liberal policies are pushing a lot of people out of California, for example. Many moving to Texas/Idaho but they aren't leaving those retarded policies of high taxes, etc where they came from.

I'd still move to California for the record. I love it there.

Is it liberal policies or just the high cost of living in general. Because most of the people moving to places like Arizona or Texas are moving to urban areas like Phoenix, Austin or Houston, which are also Democrat run.

no state income tax is a big factor. Also properties are cheaper which sometimes mean less property taxes.

i want to move to Denver or Boulder. I think the main thing preventing me is that I have lived in CA my entire life and everyone and everything i know is here.

France is losing its contrarian role in the world. Trying to copy Americans after George Floyd became a public crisis? Weak. What's wrong with them?

The old France I knew would just throw a black suburban kid off a building and say, "Houp! Mangeons des escargots!" to troll the world.

To exist France is champion for moralizing other countries , for lack of a strong economy and of real power of influence.

Democracy in France has been sick for too long, too much tension and it is exploding. Since the election of Macron, the country has never been so violent, the yellow vests movement, massive strike against pension reform ... Macron for lack of legitimacy and to govern against the people, had recourse to the police repression which became his life insurance. The problem now is that he is totally dependent on them and will never dare to criticize them because his political survival depends on it.

The Chouviat affair took place in January 2020 (during the strike agains pension reform) but who came to the fore because of the events in the USA.It was a driver who was violent and the police who wanted to use force instead of calming him . There is a problem with intervention methods, but the biggest problem today is the lack of respect from public representatives. I tell myself sometimes that it must be horrible to be a police officer in some places, you are insulted, provoked, stonned, but you must remain calm.

High taxes are retarded? Nah. Most of us higher tax countries have far higher standards of living. And far less civil unrest and severe issues with out of control Inequality

There’s a big problem with white SJWs and far left academics infantilizing POC cultures.

I’ve seen white people argue ludicrous things like “white people invented war”, “white people invented slavery”, “First Nations all lived peacefully together before Columbus.”

So much absurd nonsense that completely disregards actual history is being given credibility lately, because no aspect of POC culture is allowed to be criticized.

Absolutely, it's also racist to claim that black people cannot be privileged or be in a position of power. The world's most powerful person for 8 years was a black man, for crying out loud.

Prescient microcosm, if you had watched this a year ago and listened to the last 5 minutes you'd think he was erring on the side of hyperbole, the events of the past few weeks say otherwise. @AFL_ITALIA @swag @Quetzalcoatl

Ah, Evergreen State College. You can't say that represents Amerikkka though.

Why are there so many science deniers these days?
Because people feel empowered to believe that they know better than everyone else at everything.

And those economies are very highly dependent on tourism. Good luck balancing the budget this year.

Dude, I was in the Place de la Republique during that. :D

That's the patronizing noble savage myth at it again. "Society was so peaceful and fair when indigenous peoples ran this land." Yeah, and so was murdering other tribes at random, raping women, and executing trans people as cursed by the spirits.
