I'm not sure it was mandatory there, also you are comparing felonies to fines now?

Additionally, I don't buy the racist rhetoric, blacks are more likely to be killed by non whites than whites. Not to mention majority of crime is committed by blacks.
In case of serious crimes, that’s what the statistics imply, but what about smaller felonies and misdemeanors. There is mountains of evidence of racial bias in the war on drugs. Most prison inmates are there due to non-violent drug related crime. This guy George Floyd was arrested for allegedly using a fake 20$ bill and he was killed for it. When was the last time it happened to a white man? The Michigan gun protestors committed an act of terrorism by threatening the physical safety of the governor and they weren’t charged at all. Also, such incidents are only coming to light because of dashcams, body cams, smartphones etc.

I remember reading that same day a white man with mental issues getting gunned down after calling the cops himself, just coz you don't hear about it it doesn't mean it doesn't happen.
Please share the evidence, numbers, that prove bias.

That actually proves my point if there's less blacks yet they commit the vast majority of crime, the conclusion is pretty straightforward and has nothing to do with cops. Theres no idea fitting it's clear as day and sure as hell is more indicative of what's going on than anecdotal rhetoric.
Well, we will have to agree to disagree

Even if you discount the race aspect for some reason, it's still clear that there are some glaring issues with policing in this country.
Honestly it's a complicated issue, it's hard to see whether it's a policing problem or a simple response to the level of violence on the other side. It's become such a difficult job where at 40k a year you risk your life, livelihood and reputation every single day.

Speaking of 40k my next door neighbor is a deputy sherrif. Since I moved to this house a month ago his car has left the driveway 3-4 times max. I looked up his salary and it was 140k last year.
I was pleasantly surprised.

cops are usually paid very well.
Also, it doesn’t even crack top 10 for most dangerous jobs in the country. They’re run by a union and are too used to getting their way.

I don't know how it works in your township, but entry level on average is in the 40s, and average police salary in the US is in the 50s

solid benefits though and many departments offer 20 year retirement plus education assistance

that said, it is a difficult job which is why only the very best should be allowed to do it

Yeah, that’s pretty good pay. And the cops there aren’t assholes
to be fair, we definitely have some asshole cops here, but the vast majority are quite friendly and helpful. I’ve never had a bad run in with the police here, and I was a pretty big shithead as an adolescent.

People speculating all over from a tattoo that looks like their symbol in another picture that he’s part of the 3 percenters, a far right paramilitary group. Certainly looks the part.

Read also that people who know him said he’s apolitical and just someone looking to stir up trouble.

Nothing about him being Antifa yet.

Very complicated, and anyone that says otherwise is deluding themselves. I would never discount the violence on the otherside as you put it, however look at the very instance which sparked all of this for example. Guy is handcuffed on the floor with 3 other officers and claiming that he cannot breathe. What violence could possible come from Chauvin removing his knee from Floyd's neck in this case?

Here too, looks familiar
https://www.dallasnews.com/news/inv...veals-the-final-minutes-of-tony-timpa-s-life/

I remember this one vividly as well:
https://www.nbcnews.com/news/asian-...artially-paralyzed-indian-grandfather-n573806

A few pages back, the SWAT team members (don't remember the city) pushing down the old man.

You could keep going really. I have multiple family members working in law enforcement and have a tremendous amount of respect for the field itself and the difficulty of the job, but for the sake of both officers and the citizenry, training needs to be revamp, changes be made, and the assholes that do these things not be protected.

:agree: Suffolk PD and NYPD both make very good money with time on the job.

He does looks like your typical slack-jawed MA RAI-UTS screaming ass bitch, I have to say.
