How is taxation in Italy?
pretty bad. If you're making business it goes up to 70% or so.
Problem is there are fed taxes + local taxes (basically they tax anything they can).
That why the concept of evading to survive. Cause unless you're really succesfull you'll go bankrupt or earn shitty and work non stop
Working for yourself aka opening a small shop means getting around 800-1000€/month with all the risks.
I'd say it's not advised to start a small shop unless you own the building cause it will means 90% fail rate.
Oh something funny a friend of mine posted on facebook the photo of a wine seller/bar wanting to hire a waitress
The piece of paper claiming "need a waitress with the will to work"
So he asked with the excuse for his daughter and the conditions were:
750€ (you don't get tips here in Italy so it's 750 and stop not like in Usa where you get minmial salary but 10% for the service)
Woking from 7 to 19pm
Holidays for Christmas (the actual day) , 5may and 15 august.
Working from Monday to Saturday full day and on Sunday half day.
Lol slavery if you ask.
