But gold is so 1922 and impractical in a modern electronic exchange based economy. Not to mention most of the fandom about gold is based on this false notion that it is impervious to trading bubbles.
I probably agree about gold, but what do you think about silver? Do you think basing a currency on silver could work in a modern economy or fiat money is the only choice?

Silver's value is much lower than gold's, but do you think that it would make the same problem as with gold?

then why dont we just give the germans their gold back? it's old and useless right? youd have more luck reasoning with RUS than a crashing market on the merits of electronic age economics

I was watching tv once and Ron Paul scared the shit out of me in a commercial saying to go to a website and watch a video warning about a major financial crisis. One time when I was sick in bed I watched the video and it was just Ron Paul making vague points and at the end he endorsed a book written by someone that has had controversies with corruption. I don't trust Ron Paul anymore. I think Rand Paul is probably the best of the republicans but I probably wouldn't vote for him. I might vote for Bernie Sanders, him and Rand Paul are the only politicians I have any trust for whatsoever. Come election time I'll decide if I'll register to vote or not
