Looks like Muhammad Ali never read the entire Tarzan story. His parents were British colonials sent to tame the local population. As they were getting settled in, the jungle beasts raped and killed his parents, leaving the little guy to the gorillas.
:agree: Cassius Clay's underlying assumption that there would be a black kid literally just living with the animals for no reason is pretty racist

Want to see one that is infuriating?

Check out the dashcam video of this: https://www.chicoer.com/2018/11/30/...ers-manslaughter-conviction-in-2015-shooting/

Cop got 180 days in jail for what is a blatant murder. No chance you can justify this as a mistake or self defense and this barely even made the local news up there.
Well, if it’s any consolation, his town burned to the ground three years later.

What’s really beautiful is how he lived what he believed, regardless of whether it would harm his career or not.

After all, how many black people are lining up to go camping in the wilds of nature these days?

My mom was saying how she and her siblings would wake up at 4 am to go to her uncle's who had a tv to watch his games

Btw, this guy lost his job (that's analyzing what affects election results) for tweeting someone else's work about how unsympathetic coverage of violent protests decreased democratic vote share in 1968.

It sucks he lost his job for posting facts, but this time Trump's approval rating and polling has plummeted since the start of the crisis.
All he had to do was calm down tensions and pretend to unify the country. Instead he posted stuff like 'when the looting starts, the shooting starts' and blamed a 75 year protestor after he was pushed by police officers. Stuff like this impacts peoples opinions way more than random looters robbing Target stores. It doesn't affect loyal Trumpists, they will defend him even if tells them to eat shit and die, but swing voters are definitely affected. Besides, people's opinion on BLM has really gone up in the last 6 years.

"Trump signed an executive order authorizing sanctions against workers from the International Criminal Court who are investigating American troops and intelligence officials for alleged war crimes in Afghanistan."

The US now officially a Banana republic:rofl:

I don't think those results hold today either. The media is different and in reporting of the events in the aftermath of this particular incident, I don't think CNN or FOX would have shown less or more sympathy towards the protesters if they were more or less violent.

Don't know about that but it's great that black kids and girls also get to have superheroes and fictional characters they can identify with. Unless of course Megyn Kelly:

Bothers me that identity ideologists try to plant the mindset into kids that they can only identify with a character of the same melanin level as them. Growing up MJ was my hero and JayJay Okocha and Will Smith and Dr. Dre among others. That poisonous idea of representation only serves the purpose of dividing instead of uniting. Don't butcher literature or even worse history for the sake of representation, especially if representation means so little to you that you rather make a russian tsar black than actually film a show about some piece of actual black history or literature that nobody ever heard of and many would find interesting.
