Undifferentiated bashing of everything politics and politician is incredibly dangerous, seeing it here in Austria on the daily too (not to the same extent as in the US though probably), it is indeed a worldwide phenomenom.



Although I do kinda disagree with his definition of politics. My disagreement is purely semantical in nature, but I wouldn't say that he describes politics in his first two paragraphs, but rather a republic or maybe democracy. To my understanding, dictatorships are within the spectrum of politics too. For me, politics is simply the act or system of governing or ruling, be it democracy, dictatorship, monarchy, whatever.
