Hot off the desk of everyone's favorite investment bank, the guys doing "God's work", is a paper advocating a 45 cent per gallon "carbon tax" on gasoline. Hmmm, wonder why the one percenters at Goldman want such a tax..

Carbon taxes and other non-income based tax absolutely screw over the working class. The worst kind of taxes.

The average joe footing the bill for climate change action lol. Meanwhile corporations, they getting tax breaks. :lol2:

lol. Hospitals were overwhelmed and health care workers died in significant numbers in Italy, Spain, America, and other places. And average age of death in US is vastly lower than in Italy and other healthier nations, and majority are not in nursing homes. And no because someone has pre-existing conditions does not mean we should just say fuck you, we don’t care if you die.

Just because you have some weird agenda to minimize this, doesn’t mean you should make things up.

And the countries that shut things down, got it under control and are still having their citizens be responsible and practice some social distancing, mask-wearing, etc, do proper testing and contact tracing have kept this thing at a manageable level.

But no one knew how to deal with this at first, and the worry was that it was significantly higher death rate than it currently has shown to have, so I’m perfectly fine with countries that got hit hard early on overreacting. That’s the sensible decision until you understand the nature of COVID and how to both limit spread and treat it.

I’ve worked right through this, and a ton of industries have here, because the government of BC shutdown non-essential business initially and created good protocols and measures for reopening. I’m very happy with the initial shutdown and how my province dealt with it throughout the past few months. They have done a great job thus far.
Actually the only one with agenda are you. You sound like government sponsored add  P. Im a numbers guy and with due time there will be a proper analysis. So far from data available, the measures were heavily disproportionate to actual crisis. The countries with toughest lockdown policies (like Spain) are reporting highest number of infected per 1 million population, so lockdown policy obviously doesnt work. And yes, majority of fatalities are among older and population with preexisting condition. It certainly doesnt mean "fuck you", nor was I pointing in that way, but the solution wasnt to lock everyone in and create a chaos....

Trump should just confiscate all of Goldman's assets under financial terrorism charges and redistribute everything to the people!

Most staged event since the Champions League draw
Why would you say that? I would just say that Trump, being the most retarded president that a modern nation has ever had, has contracted Covid 19 and has decided, by himself, without listening to a single health expert, to just leave the hospital just to send some false signal to his retarted followers that everything is fine and there is no need to worry, while he is loterally gasping for every single breath. A retarded president, him becoming the president of the fucking USA is the most puzzling event in my 31 years on this planet.

You're a numbers guy and yet you choose the worst data sets to form your hypothesis?
Spain had controlled the virus after they went into lockdown. They're seeing such a huge spike because they recklessly loosened their restrictions in June and July. Italy had a much slower reopening and this is reflected in their numbers.
Also, logically speaking, just explain this.
How is it possible that people staying at home and not interacting with others infect more people than people going out without masks and congregating public places like stadiums and bar? Just explain to me how that works.
