Juve transfer chief Luciano Moggi is also giving little away in stories that the club want to sign Reggina playmaker Mozart.

"We like Mozart," he admitted. "However, we also like Beethoven…"
What a douchebag.

Juventus to discuss Mozart tomorrow with Reggina
    tribalfootball.com - June 9, 2005

Juventus director general Luciano Moggi will meet with Reggina president Lillo Foti tomorrow to thrash out terms for midfielder Mozart.

The Brazilian's agent, Dario Canovi, has already discussed personal terms with Juve and Moggi is hopeful of sealing a deal when he meets with Foti at a hotel in Vibo Valentia tomorrow.

Reggina want £4.5 million for Mozart and Moggi hopes to lower the cash component by offering a player in part-exchange. Manuele Blasi has been mentioned as a potential makeweight.

"I know that there is the interest of Juve, it is an honor - and to play for them would appeal to anyone," said Mozart.

I was hoping for a bigger name like Pizarro or Rosicky but Mozart would still be a good signing. His passing ability should ensure that we aren't as predictable as we were with Blasi in midfield.
A bigger name could be Ballack or Xavi according to me...

I say give them Blasi then. Mozart is a hell of a lot better.

We've already confirmed the signing of Giannichedda, swap Mozart with Blasi, sell Tacchinardi, keep Emerson and bring in Rosicky or Pizarro. Not a bad midfield four to choose from if you ask me.
Well since they want Blasi, we can give him in exchange with Mozart. I really wish Pizarro to be here, if Moggi is willing to splash 8 - 10 million euros on him. Since the Mozart deal is done, I couldn't see him coming.

That sounds like Deco but with more determination and defensive abillity.....
Deco of the Serie A, would have to be Pizarro for me. Even though i havent seen Mozart play.

Just remember last year transfer campaign. At first Juve brought in free agents Kapo and Zebina. Then turned attention to the midfield and bought Emerson, who had been associated with Juve for a long period. And only on the last day of transfer window Moggi made his surprise.

The same would be this year.
Juve already signed Giannicchedda and Kovac on a free transfer. Now Moggi is negotiating Mozart transfer. The surprise would come just before the deadline.

Is Mozart gonna be 1st choice midfielder for us or just cover? Cos I'm not too thrilled if he is going to be in the 1st team, I mean if he was that good shouldn't he of been capped for Brazil by now?
