imm sorry but you asked why people compared them and i was suggesting because it shared essentially the generic crimelord narrative, dont make out as if im being stupid because you are in the mind set of rating films as opposed to apreciating them.
I found it rather stupid...the whole idea of plants spreading poisonous stuff through wind makes me feel underestimated.
But the purpose of the movie is great...u know to alarm people about the dangers of neglecting the environment.

i didnt say it was a good movie, i meant to suggest it was of the same narrative, i enjoy scarface in a post modern sence if you get what i mean.
'the boz' - i give up i was just trying to suggest that you were looking at the film in the wrong and as such giving it a bad rap for the wrong reasons, it wasnt an amazing film, it was something to watch and i knew what i was going to be watching, i got what i was intending to watch. I never for a second thought it was going to be a quality film. i guess we are just arguing different things.
Brüno - Pretty much the same movie as Borat, so it is in no way surprising or original. That didn't bother me one bit though because it's hilarious. Hell, even the soundtrack made me laugh a couple of times.
Pineapple Express - Decent, enjoyable movie but I expected better. This is one of the weakest Apatow productions to date imo.
Eastern Promises - Ok movie, but I really don't understand why this one got a lot of rave reviews. The (in)famous sauna scene is the highlight of the movie.
Forgetting sarah marshal was fucking awesome - "i appear to have blood pouring out of my leg, can you get me some towels?" "You sound like you're from london"
